Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. Had the pasta trio! AMAZING! Definitely one of the best meals I've ever had. Looking forward to my next visit there!
My review is a little overdue. Granted, my boyfriend and I visited on Valentine's Day. We made the reservation weeks in advance and have to say, we were accommodated quickly upon arrival. We had a large table, which was also a big plus on a crowded night in a very close quartered restaurant. We were very much looking forward to the experience, as we love Lidia, but were extremely disappointed with the preparation of our food. Our service was quite delayed, but again, I'm sure it had something to do with the day/time we ate.
Mushroom ravioli was outstanding. I love the all the fresh ingredients and the service was great.
