Becco

4.3

About this business

Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. Sample their delectable prix-fixe pasta menu and the kitchen's redefinition of Italian flavors with an impressive wine list and seasonal cocktails.

Tried several times to book a party and my call was never returned. So disappointed as this had been my favorite "go to" restaurant when we had out of town guests. If you are not interested in having private parties, remove it from your website or at least have the courtesy to return my call!!! Hence the 3 rating!

This place was great. Symphony of Pasta was fantastic. Great little atmosphere and this place was packed so it had to be good.

Great food, great service with reasonable prices. Can't wait to return. As a native New Yorker I usually avoid this neighborhood, but now that I discovered Becco, that's out the window!

This is a place that has a manager who goes back on his word to support a youth theatre group fundraiser with a donation of dinner for two for the silent auction. The manager's name is Jim Bridgman and he ignored three emails. I will never set foot in Becco or any other of Lidia's places again nor will I ever again recommend Becco to any friends travelling to NYC.
