Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. It just needs a bit of more of legs and arms room. The rest is an enjoyable experience.

Went there for lunch, food was excellent! Service was great too! Food was affordable and close to most of the Broadway shows, I would definitely go back!
It's hit or miss here lately. I go about 1x a month with my husband and we go after the theater crowd an usually have a wonderful experience. This summer I took family from out of town and we had earlier seating. The service starting at the hostess to the food that was returned was unlike what we normally experience. Went to Becco's on July 19th. I ordered their braised short rib special- to die for and my husband ordered their chicken parm! Both were excellent! Can't wait to go back!
The best food in NYC!!! We always eat here when we are in NYC. First choice always!
Good food, lousy service. I have to believe there are better dining experiences in the theater district.
