Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. Sample their delectable prix-fixe pasta menu and the kitchen's redefinition of Italian flavors with an impressive wine list and seasonal cocktails.

Love this place. It is always crowded but the service is very good. Food is excellent. Last several times here, including yesterday, I had the pasta special, three selections of pasta selected by the chef. Had the trio gelati for desert. Well worth a visit.
We ate at the bar, the food was excellent. As important, Cathie the bartender was terrific. Her recommendations on wine were very good. I will definitely go back when I am next in the city.
We've been there a number of times. The food is reasonably good and the prices are fair - especially for NYC. I'm sure that is why the restaurant is usually full. We also go because I like Lidia's show. I've never seen a person who could put so much hot pasta in her mouth and still speak clearly to the camera. It is a real talent. I will say that many of the tables are far too small and crowded, which makes for an uncomfortable meal.
It was decent. I don't know if I would ever go back there again. I definitely would not wait in line to eat there. When they serve the Barrata it was such a small piece that there's a lot to be desired. I mean they could do a better job than that and I had a small appetizer plate I could count the items that were on there. My daughter did the three pasta. It was okay.
Visiting from Boston for the weekend, the only place friends recommended to us was Becco. A friend who frequents here a lot managed to smooze an 8:30 reservation when no reservations were avail and then we got seated on time. We met the chef William on our way to the table and the manager. Both every personable and warm people. We started with fantastic breads, cocktails (made to perfection) and a few appetizers. Meatballs (to die for) fried calamari along with 2 other apps had us stuffed and almost had enough, but we ordere... read more
Absolutely amazing. I come here a lot, this place is my favorite! Their homemade pasta special is always perfect. From the wine to entrees to desserts they are so on point always packed which means you know it's good
Pumpkin Ravioli to die for. Great Service. Somewhat crowded table set up but great food.
Food was delicious! Staff was great! Loved the feel of the restaurant too. We had lunch and were well taken care of and our server even asked us if we were on a schedule since we had mentioned our plans for the day to him. He kept us on schedule!
Excellent Service , Excellent Food . This was my 2nd time eating there and just enjoyed myself.
