Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." My husband and I have been to Becco and other Lidia restaurants many times. Watch all her shows on TV and have had the pleasure of meeting Lidia a few times at her restaurants and book signings. This year for my birthday I wanted to go to Becco. I have Celiac Disease and informed the server and I will tell you how impressed I was by his knowledge and time he took to go over the menu. We were visiting from Tx to celebrate a friends bday. No reservations but a little before 5 on Sun nite so thought we'd just ck. table for 6? Sure! & were taken to the outside private room looking out onto the street, w awesome service ( by Waiter Dan & others), awesome food, & an overall awesome experience !! Thank you for making my friends bday that much more special !!
Third visit to BECCO and it just gets better & better! The calamari salad was delicious & pasta was excellent, as always! The friendly waitstaff added to the enjoyment! Will definitely return!
