Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. Sample their delectable prix-fixe pasta menu and the kitchen's redefinition of Italian flavors with an impressive wine list and seasonal cocktails.

I was very underwhelmed by the food and our servers’ lack of knowledge when it came to the menu and wine selection. My husband and I both had the pasta tasting menu and al three dishes were quite bland and the pasta was over cooked. The Caesar salad was very watered down. The night before we had a lovely meal at Sam’s Place with extremely attentive servers and delicious, authentic Italian food. Please don’t waste your time going to Beccos. There are so many better options in NYC.
Mitch, our waiter was great and the food was amazing. No one should leave NYC without stopping here!!!!
Excellent service....fabulous food...overall great dining experience
Me and seven gal pals went here after a Wednesday Matinee for Early Dinner. I chose the Simfonia of 3 Pastas ($24.95) with the Misto appetizer (grilled veges, fried calamari, octopus salad). The semolina gnocchi was so light and delicious, the gemelli with lamb ragu amazing, the linguine with fresh basil very nice. Pasta is cooked perfectly! The great thing is the $31 per bottle wine list with many amazing bottles. Love this place!
The prices are so reasonable. The bottles of Bastianich wine are wonderful. The pasta specials are okay, but I find the pasta is sometimes over cooked. The branzino is always wonderful. A good meal before a show for reasonable price.
My husband had Branzino (not on the menu) and I had the 3 pasta selection. Perfect meal. And the wine ~ Abruzzo Doc Pecorino, need a case! Our 4th trip. We drove in from Bucks County, just to have lunch. I called last night for a reservation and to see if they may have Branzino. They said it would be available. Seated before our reservation time, and the restaurant was packed. Our servers were great, navigating the space and helpful with each table. David finished our service. Attentive and personable. We will be back, of co... read more
The food was delicious, the service was spot on and the ambiance was warm and relaxing. We found the wine list easy to navigate and a great value.
This is the best restaurant in all New York if not the East Coast‼️
