Inspired by his travels across Italy, Joe Bastianich opened Becco with his mom Lidia to much fanfare. The word Becco comes from the Italian verb beccare, meaning "to nibble." A great addition to Broadway's dining alternatives, the lovely restaurant is a popular pit stop for theater-goers. La sinfonia di pasta ? Da evitare accuratamente .
Just had dinner here last night and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and constantly ensuring we were taken care of. The food was outstanding and the daily pasta special is an incredible value. If they have a day were the Chef makes artichoke ravioli ... GO! You will not regret it. Highly recommend this authentic Italian restaurant. Great location near Broadway too.
My favorite Italian restaurant in NYC. Great pasta selection varies each day. Always exciting to find out what the 3 pasta's will be on a given day. Notes: It can be very busy and reservation a must or you will wait. Also, the tables are tight and you can feel rushed as they are used to folks going to the theater and they want to turn the tables quickly. The Bar can be a more relaxing meal. Also the wine glasses served at the bar are larger, more appropriate for red wine.
Great grilled salmon cesar salad. Wasn't a menu item but chef prepared it perfect! Great friendly service. Neat little Itailian fare. We sat upstairs it was a nice seating area with windows.

Had a great time tonight at Becco, Charles our waiter was awesome and made us feel like we were at home. Great food, great recommendations by Charles made for a excellent experience. Ty.

Service was a little slow to start. People that sat next to us came in a few minutes after us, ordered their food, and had their salad prior to us even getting our order taken. After that delay, service got better. Food great as usual.
