We'll knocking this off my to bucket list. Greasiest greasy spoon I've ever been in. Heard it was good in years past. Wrong orders not worth waiting in line again. The onion rings were just wet with grease and the place needs a good hosing down. Hamburger itself was not bad...wasn't what I ordered though and so was the lemonade. The drink lady was sweet. Food was great but needs a little cleaning. Had a great time with my cousins.
Iconic...take the time to read the wall of fame, great history and stories. The whole experience is unique from the way you place your order all the way through to the way you get your food...when they say aplenty, they mean it, huge portions....call it.
The place was filthy. The onion rings were pure grease. The chili cheese burger was a big disappointment. I was not impressed
Lot of food.... if you order a "Plenty" everything will be covered with ff and onion rings.
Exceptional ,almost too fast on service ,nostalgic . Good food / chicken stew is great an will fill you up
I've been eating at the Beacon since I was young....I am 70 now and still go back.....Now if you want a good breakfast, go to the Beacon.......and I will tell you right now......they have one darned good biscuit maker there.......
Should have taken my hotdog a plenty home to eat. Several "religious " folks talking about their faith. I'm not and was just uncomfortable.
The burgers were really good, and the service was very friendly. Overall, rating only 3 stars mainly because it didn't seem as clean as I thought it should have been. It was better than stopping at a McDonalds, at least.
