Booked a weeknight bed and breakfast here for my parents for their joint birthdays with a voucher for dinner at the hotel's restaurant and a night at the observatory which is on site. They had such a great time and really enjoyed all aspects of their trip from the food to the location, and particularly the observatory experience (they said they had an extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, and even though the weather forecast was really poor they were lucky and the sky cleared so they got to view Saturn - dress warm... read more

staff are very helpful and the room was comfortable and quaint Just a heads up, you need to book reservations early since dining is full and we didn’t get an early dinner time. We will know for next time. This could be because of Sunday night.

We recently received a voucher for a champagne dinner at the Battlesteads, which we put to good use at the weekend. As always we received a lovely welcome by attentive and friendly staff, excellent food and an efficient and prompt service. This is not our first visit to the Battlesteads, and we have always received a consistent service, lovely food and a warm welcome. The champagne dinner was a real treat for us both! Would highly recommend.
