Great Place for Happy Hour! – I'd never heard of this place until a friend took me for an after work happy hour. I must say that my first experience was wonderful! I really enjoyed the variety of cocktails, especially the martinis! I can't remember what I ordered, but I loved it. We've been back since and again enjoyed delicious cocktails and cheap, yummy food to fill our stomachs! I'd recommend this to anyone and will definitely be back again....and again!
What a find! – I am not usually one to write reviews on such a site, yet after my expierence tonight I felt that I needed to share my thoughts with potential guests. I went to Bartini tonight after hearing about the great happy hour that this bar offers. Upon arriving I was greated with a very welcoming smile from a beautiful, exotic looking waitress name Sima. My friends and I were blown away with the level of service that this waitress provided to us. Not only was she educated about the drinks, she was very chipper and wil... read more
Terrible Customer service – I've been here twice and each time the same thing happened - we were ignored by the waitstaff. The first time was happy hour during the week and there were maybe 2 other people in the place and three employees, who stood at the bar and talked amongst themselves until we finally got irritated and said something. Then getting the waitress back for a second round of drinks took forever. The second time was a Sat. night a few nights later at around midnight and they were busy, but we walked in and sat... read more
Great drinks, food, ambience & service – The staff of Bartini provided excellent service to our party of 12 when we celebrated my birthday there. The food and drinks were very good, the service was prompt and courteous. Everyone in our party enjoyed it very much. We ordered 4-course prix-fixe appetizer/cocktail combinations and all of the dishes and drinks tasted great and were served in a timely manner. Thank you Robert and the staff!
Horrible Customer Service – Bartini is a prime example of how not to run your business. Happy hour is way too short, although the the prices are okay, no one wants to try to hurry in directly after work to squeeze in a drink before it ends at 6:30. I suggest Brazen Bean one block down, who's happy hour is cheaper and goes till 8pm. Also Bartini's wait staff are horrible. They sit there and either talk to eachother or txt message on their phones before helping you, even if you are standing directly in front of them at the bar... read more
What a waste of 20 Minutes! – I was in the neighborhood on my way home and decided to stop in for a martini. It was a Saturday afternoon. I walked in and there was one other table there. I stepped up to the bar and ordered a martini. Before I ordered, I asked the bartender some questions about the different types of martinies. From his reponses, it sounded like he must have been in training except that there was no one training him. 5 minutes later I still did not have my drink. The dining room next door must of had some bus... read more
Martinis Galore! – My absolute favorite place to happy hour in Portland! Bartini has martinis of every flavor for every type of person: classic, fruity, minty, chocolaty, coffee flavored, you name it they have it. If you are new to drinking martinis, try the Blackberry Lemon Drop of Blue Eyes. If martinis are your thing and you want to try something new go for the French Kiss (vodka and champagne with a strawberry glaze and topped with a strawberry). The happy hour food menu could easily substitute as a meal. Good salads and... read more
Great Martinis – This is one of my favorite drink spots. I can always count on a tasty cocktail. My favorites are the very mango martini and the ruby rose... they wow me everytime. I do appreciate all of the martini choices and look forward to try something new. I also appreciate the size of their martinis. Every bar in town has switched to serving martinis in small, narrow martini glasses. However Bartini serves theirs in nice, generously sized glasses and their prices are surprising low, especially during happy hour. Happy... read more
Happy hour is the only time to go to Bartini. The place will be crowded though, and finding seating can be a pain. Half price martinis are worth it though to get a chance to try something different. I recommend the snickertini if you want something sweet. Talk to the bartender, he most likely created all of the choices, and can make a great recommendation. Happy hour food is nothing special, but affordable.
