I definitely am not taking my doggy in anymore. My dog has been going only to bark shop, but after this last time he’s not going there ever again. My dog is usually energetic and happy but for some reason every time he comes to the bark shop we don’t even walk in and he’s dragging his feet and doesn’t want to go. Taylor is hands down the BEST! My babies actually LOOK FORWARD to going to see her. I have been going to bark shop for almost a year every month or so and Taylor has been absolutely amazing each and every time. She goes above and beyond and more importantly I trust her 100%. I highly recommended Bark Shop.
My pup was way overdo for a groom. He started to get matted on his butt and hind legs. I figured they would have to shave him down and was okay with that. When I came to pick up Alf I was surprised how long his fur was able to stay and how ADORABLE and perfect he looked 💕 Hayley did an amazing job, I know he can be timid and not the best to groom. He seemed a lot more relaxed when I picked him up. I love that she was able to take a little more time to get him to warm up and brushing out the mats instead of shaving him down.... read more

My customer experience at The Bark Shop has not been great. Poor communication, lack of professionalism, responsibility and grooming quality are reason enough for me not to be a repeat customer.

Dear Sara, we are very sorry you feel this way! We understand we cannot make everyone happy but we do try our best every day. Due to Iowa State law and the department of agriculture we must have written proof of current vaccines on file. Our front desk staff does try to remind everyone and then also sends a text the night before. In your case we were able to call the vet and have them sent over. Duster was a great boy during his grooming and we will miss him. We hope you find a shop to better suit your needs.
Amanda always makes MJ look so good for a dog who is always digging, swimming, rolling in stinky scents and playing hard with other dogs ( yuk! Dog spit always on her back). Way to go Bark Shop :)

Our one year old Bernese Mountain dog needed some grooming. She hasn't been groomed often - so needed lots of patience. Bark Shop did exactly that! Indy had the mini groom and a de-shed. When I picked up Indy today she was happy and also clean and beautiful. We appreciate their special care for our sweet girl. Definitely will be back and recommend using them to everyone!
