Bank of America approved our loan for a two-bedroom cooperative apartment in ***** NY on July 27, 2017 and they informed us that our interest rate would be locked until October 15, 2017. We were told that three months is the standard length of time to lock interest rates and that closings for coops do not take longer than that. I am So Sick of them taking funds - in regards to a Monthly Maintenance Fee Now!! O ** Goodness you'd think this would not allow - on the banks side if the funds are not there for this ****. Bank of America undervalues its customers. With a 40 year track record in on time payments as well as having a business and personal account, they continue to show a remarkable lack of judgement. The most recent example: Today I attempted to purchase a product online and the company could not process it. I called the 1-800 number of the bank and was told we missed a payment on Thanksgiving Day. We never miss a payment. We offered to pay immediately through a transfer. The customer service rep in the W. Bloomfield, MI branch (on Maple Rd.) was slow processing a simple SD transaction (she did not know how to type). The manager made excuses for the employee and expressed no gratitude whatsoever for the business and instead made us feel like BofA was doing us a favor. Avoid.

Not only the worst Bank I've ever dealt with, but the worst company in ** life in over 25 years in business. Applied for a mortgage and was pre approved. Assured we were easily approved at purchase price. Cool, nothing can go wrong at this point I asked the originator? 99.9% nothing will go wrong aside from something quirky like a title problem. Me and my husband had to stop at the bank, because one of the bank's employee made a mistake in his last name, so since we had a joint account both of us needed to be presented there in order to fix it. When we got to the bank and approached a teller, he asked us if we have an appointment. We didn't. For which he started shaking his head and told us "well, you have to have an appointment" (with a LOT of attitude). On October 18, 2017, I went in to BOA, ************** branch, *************. *********** immediately dropped everything to help me! I came because my mortgage check was deposited by a bank other than my mortgage co. Needless to say my mortgage company was of absolutely no help, could care less, continuously told me different things, and also kept hanging up on me. *********** not only listened to me, was the only one who seemed to care, understood the situation, and has been in constant contact me with updates.SHE IS AWESOM... read more
If you are trying to move, buy new furniture, anything above groceries, don't use this card. They will shut it down every time. You will have wasted people's time and embarrass yourself. For no reason at all, despite the limitations you are no where near close to reaching. Despite paying on time in full every time. No warning, the card is just simply declined.
