I have had a great experience at Banfield in Marietta. We started taking our cat here almost 2 years ago and I was so happy with them I moved our dog over from another way more expensive vet down the road. We see Dr. Paulis and she is awesome, she's thorough and caring and if she isn't sure what's going on she finds out. She helped us with quite a few unusual pet issues and she never gave up until they were all resolved. We did sign up for the wellness plan and it has helped with a lot of the cost. The staff at the Banfield Pet Hospital in Wake Forest, NC are pretty good; however, beware of product up-selling and unnecessary lab tests at this location. Make sure to ask your veterinarian how the information will be used. Will it be used to help or improve your pet's health or quality of life. You may be surprised to learn from your veterinarian that they are just interested in gathering more information while knowing it wouldn't make any difference regarding your pet's treatment. Please stay away from this place and all other locations. My cat was taken in for a routine scheduled teeth cleaning and died. She was put under sedation, which she has been before there, but this time they over did it and she began to not breath and her heart beat slowed down. They said they tried to save her but she passed away. This is not right. Now I want to take my other cat off the wellness plan because of their malpractice and I am told I have to pay $289? The service provided by this clinic is negligent and absolutely unacceptable. My fiance and I recently took her cat in for an unknown illness. They did a general exam, took blood work, and sent us on our way without explaining a single thing to us. A couple days later we received a call from them saying the blood work revealed he had a form of liver disease. They prescribed an antibiotic, told us to continue it for a week or two, and that's it. I feel that everybody was very knowlegable. The staff was very friendly to my pet and I.
The Vet took the time to explain what was done to my cat. They always are happy to see him and remember him by name. Great Service with knowledgable people.

I bought my puppy from a pet store and the pet store told me to take the puppy to a vet for a checkup within 4 days to make sure the puppy was completely healthy. Now my puppy had up to date shots for parvo and distemper. I brought my puppy here and they told me my dog had parvo. I showed them the shot record and said there's no way, shes up to date on shots. shes had 2 da2ppvs (which treats distemper, adenovirus, parafluenza, and PARVO) AND 2 neopar shots, which is specifically to prevent PARVO.
