Unfortunately I have to say that Banfield is not all that friendly. Sure when things are going good with your furry child it is fine & dandy. Your not allowed in with your pet before or, after surgery. For me this is very important. My husband had been taking my (our) dog! I was the legal owner & they did know that I was also a care giver to my 3 girls. The entire staff is so friendly, kind and knowledgeable. The love and take great care of my animals. Marco is now the second member of my family who goes to Banfield and is on the Optimum Special Care Plan.

I've been taking my pets to Marina Pet Hospital since 1980 and have always been pleased with the outstanding care and referrals my pets receive. After a recent experience with a stray cat and her kittens, I cannot say enough great things about these folks. The entire staff went way above and beyond with care, advice, and maximizing value. The assistant and the vet both, went beyond to try and help me accomplish what we needed at the best price possible. Also the vet assistant was fantastic in listening to me regarding my Rottie's behavior issues. And Dr. Quam also lent her experience. I was hesitant to stay with Banfield because I was a little disappointed in a previous experience in another town. The front desk girl was really helpful also.
I love the care and professionalism of all the staff. Our family has used Banfield for many years for all of our pets' needs and vet visits.....close to home.....connected to PetsSmart store.....fantastic staff...and is usually the way many of the visits are unscheduled.....always accommodated by the system.
They did a good job of teeth cleaning, along with checking our dog's ear and discovering an infection, which they treated and gave us meds and set up a follow up appointment. They showed concern in our dog being highly nervous but understood when we explained he was a newly adopted pound animal and he might have been afraid of another "toss up" in his invironment.
My dog Charolette was having seizures and we had this as an initial appt. to draw blood work and started a new eating plan for what the vet asst. thought was hypoglycemia. After 2 more visits we got the blood work back and got her on Prenisoine and kept the new eating plan every 3 hrs. The day before we got the blood work back Charlotte had a seizure that lasted an hour and half, so far since getting the meds Charlotte hasn't had any seizures. They killed my cat. My cat initially went in for just a medical shave. The vet called me that day and stated my cat needed all this blood work, (she also did a urinalysis, and a parasite check that she did not mention and I did not tell her to do) and a dental cleaning. She suggested the wellness plan and that would cover the dental cleaning and blood and visit. I thought she knew best. She didn't. She estimated a bill of $250.00. The bill came to $503.00.
