This company in general has terrible customer service. They do not have the courtesy to send out an notice or postcard to let you know your Banfield Pet Hospital on Adams Road is closing and where your pet's information will be transferred to. In fact they do not ever have a dedicated customer service call center. They should prorate the contract without any extra costs to cancel given this closer is NOT THE CUSTOMERS FAULT. Several times I called the Rochester Road Banfield location and they do not answer the phone. I calle... read more

Banfield doesn’t care for my time. Last week, I brought my dog in for a checkup, and they said that he’d be done in about 30 minutes and that they would call me. I went to pick up a couple of things at the grocery store and got gas. They called my wife and said our dog had an ear issue. We could treat it at home daily for a week or so or they could do the treatment that day and we could not worry about it and bring him back the following week for his second and last treatment for $12 more. She opted for the $12 more and to l... read more

Banfield and Petsmart are in the same building and their computers should share vaccination and grooming information. Their computers are separate therefore, the groomers don’t have access to dog’s shot rabies records.

I contacted Banfield on Friday April 9th, 2021 because my 14 year old pug was not doing well and I was pretty sure he was going to need to be put down sooner than later. I was hoping to get advice from a vet about what signs to watch for, what we should do, etc. I was told a vet would call me either that same day or Saturday. I did not receive a call back that Friday or Saturday (a week later, still no call). On Saturday morning, our pug's health had declined even more and I knew that it was time. I couldn't bring myself to ... read more

I have Banfield wellness plans on 2 dogs and a cat. The last 4 visits I didn’t even get to speak to the Vet they say due to “Covid”. You have to drop your pet off and they keep the pet all day for a wellness exam. My one dog has heart disease and history of pancreatitis. She’s 14 years old and all I get to speak to is the Vet tech. Recently the vet refused to fill Heartguard for this dog because she was due for heart worm exam in a month. She was just there for a full exam. Because they neglected to check her for heart worm,... read more

They’re the absolute worst animal care out there. Also their management Heather Noll is the most rude and ignorant person. The lack of care and compassion that comes out of this facility is beyond disgraceful. Our pet received poor care and they told us they couldn’t read X-rays and had to charge us more to have them read by another company. Took our pet to another vet because he was getting worse and worse under their care and ended up losing him because of their negligence. Heather Noll then tried to fight us on our compli... read more

I can't even give this Banfield Pet Hospital a rating. I was in Myrtle Beach on vacation and noticed that one of my dogs nails was too long and needed attention. My dog will not let me cut her nails and she is too strong for me to hold. I called on a Saturday morning and made an appointment for 2PM with the North Myrtle Beach Location. It was busy, and we waited 40 minutes. There were two people at the desk. The one older woman kept walking all around, went outside and was all over the place rubbing her eyes and not really d... read more

First this place almost killed my dog with too much anesthesia. when I went to pick her up the vet tech was telling me that I must have fed her because she was throwing up and it caused her to choke and then her heart rate went too low and they had to give her something to counteract the anesthesia. I asked to talk to the vet because the girl seemed to be uncomfortable and making up a story. plus my dog had been staved for 24hour before the teeth cleaning to make sure nothing would happen, the vet came and I asked what happe... read more
