I agree with the negative reviews of Banfield Pet Hospital. Two weeks ago I took my cat to the pet hospital at ******** and ****** because he was having issues with his mouth. When I took him, the staff kept trying to get me to sign up for a yearly wellness plan. I just wanted the @%#! cat's mouth examined! During the visit, they did bloodwork and an overall physical exam, but they did not examine the cat's mouth in detail. They told me to take the cat back this week for a dental exam under sedation, so I did on Monday. When... read more

For two years, I have tried to communicate with the front desk and vets tech but it is always a challenge. I get one story over the phone and a different one when I get there. I will admit that I put up with this too long and got too frustrated. I had one dog signed up for a year wellness plan which included teeth cleaning and heartworm medication. For some strange reason they had me signed up for a year of the plan but only 6 months of Heartworm medication.. That does not make sense. They did this last year too but promised... read more

My complaint is with their pet insurance. **************** premiums end when a person dies. At Banfiled. even when you pay for them to euthanize yor pet, they charge until the end of a 12 mo policy. This seems like poor ethics and fraud. They ******** for a period when they have no services to providr.

I strongly DO NOT recommend Banfield as they still insist on dropping off pets despite the PANDEMIC being relatively over and they frequently have so few vets that it is hard to get an appointment at a convenient location and when you finally do get there, there is a LONG LINE and the staff turnover is ridiculous and once you sign that agreement, you are committed to paying that amount monthly and you cannot cancel until you have paid off some exorbitant bill that they charge for every little thing they do. I currently have a wellness plan that includes spaying my 6 month old pup. Took my pup for spaying and this is when their neglect came to the forefront. About a week ago I completed my pup comprehensive exam (1 week prior to spaying). At drop off the front desk informed the cone and painkillers were for additional cost even though my package included spaying and those were not optional. Front desk also talked me into purchasing extra meds for nausea and the chip. Extra $100. After leaving the surgeon called about taking out ... read more
