My pup dog passed away, so a couple of months after he passed, I closed the bank account his wellness plan payments were paid from. I just received a notice from a collection agency for almost $300! I took my pet to Banfield his whole life, 15 years, but they would not reverse all of the charges for the time after he passed away. I wouldn't recommend Banfield's plan to anyone. They act like they're so concerned with you and your pet, but really it's just about the money for them.

Having a severally sick dog, the hospital would not be able to completely assist him. We had to use their hospital and another hospital to care for him. After he passed, we continued to be charged for his insurance. The company would not assist us. This is not recommended for any care of your pet. Buyer beware.

Vet took urine sample two week have not heard anything would not return any calls Vet ignored us when we went there. When we said that we would contact corp like magic it appeared three week we tried to find out about second test was there but no calls took results to another vet cancelled pet insurance then they wanted hold us hostage charging us 2 months said that if we contest it cost more

I went there because my 7 month old teacup poodle looked like she had oozing n her **** was really red so instead of paying $250 just to be seen at the hospital I figured let me take her there since I already have a plan with them. Not to mention I was just there yesterday for a check up. So first the lady comes and says the doctors can't see you today. This place is a disgrace to vets and I don't know how else to put it. Definitely do NOT spend your money on the wellness plans. This is a typical corporate SCAM. They do not care about our pets. All they care about is money. Not only are they rude and unprofessional, they are not thorough, and they prescribe unsafe, non-FDA approved medications and vaccinations. Absolutely the worst pet business location I have ever been to. Will NEVER go to another Banfield again!! This location in SE DC should be closed! Went for a simple nail trim, ON A WEEKEND, and was told it would be over an hour wait. I was the ONLY person sitting in the lobby. For a NAIL TRIM..... Pathetic!!!! I encourage everyone to NEVER go to this location!!!

On Tuesday, I lost my beloved ****y to of all things -- pneumonia. For her entire (almost) 11 years she went to Banfield. First in South Carolina, and then in Georgia. And, I am incensed! It's been two days since she died, and not a phone call, not a note, not anything from the Banfield in Lilburn, Ga. She had a comprehensive exam on march 28, and several days later she started being sluggish-- not that much, just a little. For anyone considering signing up for the Banfield Hospital wellness plan, it's only really worth it if your dog is still a puppy or fairly young. If you plan on cancelling, make sure you cancel at the end of your yearly contract to avoid any loopholes or hassle. Recently my dog, Ruby, passed away from cancer. I tried cancelling her wellness plan, but I was told I had to pay the remainder of the year which comes out to be close to $400. I had Banfield pet insurance for two years while my dogs were young. i always loved the experience and how they stayed on top of things. I have always had full confidence in them. My policy ended a while ago in the fall of 2016, I did not renew it, so I did not make any payments on it. I thought it was terminated. Apparently my girlfriend signed a new contract around the time the former one was supposed to expire. So we have a contract for 2017. I did not know this, however.
