The only thing the Bamford has in its favour is that it is close to the beach promenade! It can't be called a hotel: no reception/staff; very basic room, no room servicing (we had to buy toilet roll), smell from the shower drain was awful; bar area locked even though that was the only area signed for eating takeaway, no breakfast; we started to wonder who else was staying there with people coming and going all night and audible phone calls at 5am from room 8! What an absolute pit!!! We didn't see the owners once. The noise from room 8 was unbelievable, she started phone calls at 5am which woke everyone up. The bedding and towels were not changed once during our 4 night stay. There was stench coming from the drain in the shower which had mould. I think the British safety standards would shut the place down if they seen the ceiling tiles (which i thought were banned in the UK). Don't stay here.

Lovely little place. Great convenient location. Lovely comfy room. And very friendly staff who were happy to help. Unfortunately no wifi in rooms but did have WiFi downstairs. Though this wasn't much of a problem for the little time we were in room. And only very small tv on wall but similar to wifi, not a massive problem if you are busy and not in room much

This hotel is situated in a street that's mostly derelict! The hotel has no staff on sight and the bar is closed off. We booked for 2 nights and stayed 1 . The bathroom light didnt work and the room stank of dampness. The mattress was awful ' the springs were sticking through. The main front door wouldnt close and we felt very unsafe. There was no one in the hotel no staff no reception area. One night was enough!
