We leased a tank, which means we can only get gas from Amerigas. Their prices are $0.70-$1 higher than any other gas company around me. Now it’s a 2 week wait before delivery, on top of the higher prices, unless you pay a $200 fee for them to deliver in 72 hours, or $300 for 24 hours. Everyone else local is 48-72 hours delivery time. Extortion at its finest. And also, I haven’t had a shorter wait time than 45 minutes on hold. I can assure you that any other gas company will be better than this place. Basically same problems as everyone else. Horrible customer service. Ridiculous hold times. Waiting a month for a delivery.

This is the worst company ever... I ordered my gas 25 days ago and still haven't recieved it, it's my first order, I have two children, no heat and it's winter. I wait 50 minutes everytime I call, to get a foriegn person that can not help me. They have told me 4 different times that they will be out next week and have told me specific days... They do not show up. We have missed work staying home to wait for them to come. We weren't able to stay in our new home over the holidays because it was too cold. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

I went with another company nearly a year ago when we rebuilt our house. They picked up their tank last spring. I just got a 30-days past-due bill from Amerigas. I've tried contacting them in multiple ways. I have been on hold for close to an hour with no one picking up. Their chat feature is not being monitored, email gets me nowhere. Add that to the reason we quit them and went with another, local, company: the price of propane is 3x what our new company gives us. Yes, that is 3 times the price per gallon. Just awful customer service, we were scheduled for delivery on the 9th of December 2020, when the tank got to 12% called non-stop to get a delivery. First call we were told the driver was out for delivery, he never showed. Second call were were told they couldn't do anything since the delivery coordinators do not work weekends. Third call I was told they tagged it as an emergency, and we should see a delivery the next day. This is the worst company for Customer service. I put in an order for my parents three weeks ago. My sister and I have called multiple times this week, even contacting the emergency number because their propane is almost completely empty. Propane is their only means of heat. Called again today, the rep said the same thing; “we are busy and short on employee’s, but we will try to get someone out there.” I understand being short staffed, but this was ordered three weeks ago and on top of that they are supposed to be on auto de... read more

None of these reviews surprise me. Amerigas bought up all the local companies that had great reputations with their customers and then they closed all local offices and got rid of all Customer Service Representatives locally. Also be aware that they now have a policy even for keep full customers if they let you run out of gas it will be at least 2 weeks before they come out or they want you to pay a $200 fee to come out early.

In complete agreement with all of the reviews posted here. If I could do a negative 10 starts - I would. Hour plus hold times is unheard of in any industry (including WALMART who is definitely more busy than these idiots!). I have been on hold to try to clear up THEIR billing error to no avail as after 1 hour and 16 minutes, 54 minutes, 1 hour and 12 minutes and more and more - I was told someone would get back with me within 3 days and that never happened.
