In my opinion, Dr. Ambati is one of the best eye doctors in the country. His resume speaks for itself. Having first seen him in 2011, and recently in December 2017 for SMILE corrective surgery (that went flawlessly), there is no one else I’d rather have as my eye doctor/surgeon than him. Having seen many eye doctors in my life, his knowledge, surgical skill, and patient care is unmatched.

Dr. Ambati is a wonderful surgeon and a very humble, compassionate man too..I had surgery on both of my eyes this week to remove cateracts and to put in two new lenses. My second surgery was just yesterday and I already have 20/25 vision in both eyes. My pre-surgery results (with glasses) was only 20/40...he has given me the best gift of all for the new year, better eyesight... i feel very blessed to have worked with him.

I had a great experience getting LASIK done from Dr. Ambati. He was able to quickly figure out an issue that I was having with my eyes that 2 previous providers had mis-diagnosed. I was able to schedule an evaluation appointment quickly and my surgery was scheduled for within a couple of weeks. Dr. Ambati was calm, comforting, and patient throughout the entire process. He always explained what he was doing and why and checked in frequently to see how I was doing and if I had any questions.

I am so very happy to have found Dr. Ambati at Pacific Clear Vision Institute! The testing equipment at PCVI and Dr. Ambati's careful exam correctly diagnosed eye conditions that left ignored (by my previous doctor) could have cost me my vision. Dr. Ambati listened carefully to me and set out a plan to give me the best solution for my vision problems with my desired results in mind. I am now 1-month post surgery and am very happy with the results!!

I was fortunate enough to get to know Dr. Ambati as both my ophthalmologist performing my Lasik surgery and as a mentor while I was shadowing him at the Pacific ClearVision Institute. He is a great teacher and an incredibly kind physician. He listens patiently to each complaint and treats each patient as a friend who has come seeking his help. As a patient, I felt very well cared for. As a student, I feel even more inspired to complete my goals of becoming a physician.

I met Dr. Ambati 8 years ago and immediately switched to his care. At that time he was at the University of Utah. Dr. Ambati was so kind to take the time to explain what was happening to my eye and how he would treat it. My case was rare because of my rare vasculitus disease . He worked closely with me until it finally was put in remission. To explain how much I trust him - if I ever have to have eye surgery - I will come to Eugene to have him do it! Is by far the best doctor I have ever had.
