My family and I are completely distraught at how this company is still in business. On the date of 06/25/2021 I picked up my rental in Rancho Cucamonga for the use of going to Sacramento to attend a one year memorial for my father in law, on the way with a full Chrysler van we were struck by a drunk driver invoking a 3 car accident. Avis car rental Colorado Springs airport horrible experience and service. Got double charged and confusion of rental extended rental for one more day total of 2 days they thought I extended it for 5 days instead. I had returned car to location gave keys to white van that worked for the rental company. I had called to get receipt of the transaction I was the keys were not returned yet. HORRIBLE. ME AND MY HUSBAND RENTED A CAR FOR 3 DAYS AND HAVE BEEN OVER CHARGED. WHEN WE GOT TO AVIS THE ORIGINAL CAR ISSUED THE KEYS WERE LOCKED INSIDE, SO THEY REISSUED A NEW CAR. WE HAD THE CAR FOR 3 DAYS. THEY HAVE RENTED THE ORGINAL ISSUED CAR OUT AND I AM BEING CHARGED TOLLS AND FEES FOR THESE OTHER PEOPLES CHARGES. I HAVE OGTTEN THE RUN AROUND FROM AVIS. Charged $105 for refueling, even though I returned the car with a full tank!

I have reserved a car in Paris, Maine- and there is no Avis in Paris, Maine. I have spent over 7 hours on the phone with them trying to figure out where I should go to pick up my rental car. I even said I would modify my reservation to pick it up in Portland, Maine. There were no cars available so I said I would be happy to pick it up in Boston, there are cars available but they wanted to charge me three times the amount we agreed to online. I was wrongly charged by budget avis. I paid 445 at the manchester boston budget at 1 airport road manchester nh. i returned the car on June 18th 2021 as i was supposed to on time. I was overcharged three separate charges as if i never returned the car when i did. The charges were on June 21st 2021 and they sent out the car was returned on June 21st. i wasnt even in manchester nh that day. The charges were 1364.93, 836.46, and 467.67. I have not been refunded yet and was put into overdraft on my checking account.

i rented a car at the Avis Denver International Airport site. i was told it would be a additional 13.xx to add my daughter's drivers license per day. he then offered me a upgrade car instead.... saying it would come out about the same. It was 1 am after a 4 hour flight delay. i said ok. it ended up being more. their upsale tactics worked.... then when i returned the car, there was a avis worker directing where to park. he stood there as we scrambled to grab our luggage. i felt pressured to hurry. forgetting to check the back... read more

I was very shocked to see my normal 5 day rental go from around $350 to over $1,000. At first I thought it was a mistake and when I called in. I found that this wasn't a mistake it was Avis Business Model. I will ride a bicycle before I do any more business with Avis. Everyone please avoid Avis and let's run these money hungry taking advantage business out of business. This should be illegal, and I pray someone here on the BBB reads this and does something with them. Hell I don't even want to give them 1 star.

Absolutely horrible experience with Avis, if i could give them ZERO stars i would. I have never had any issues when renting a vehicle. I have rented from MULTIPLE rental companies prior to Avis and Avis was the ONLY company i am running into an issue with.
