I love this salon, and my stylist Raquel. I have been there twice. My friends, who usually never mention my hair, noticed and complimented my cut. So, I had to go back. I have thin hair so it needs a lot of TLC and a good haircut. Raquel listens to what I say, and then uses her skills and creativity to give me a cute cut. The salon has a nice, friendly vibe. I give them a very high recommendation.

Found that everything was great (though a better music selection would be appreciated). My hair looked great and the dedication put into the cut was above and beyond! Highly recommend them!

I moved from Florida to NYC last year. After three failed attempts at finding a good hair place I found Jen D at Shampoo Ave B. She's extremely talented, entergetic, fun and knows her sh!t! The whole staff is always friendly and creates a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere. Also, it's affordable which is another bonus. I am so happy I found this place. You won't be disappointed.

I love Shampoo Avenue B. I've gotten great highlights and a great cut from Sylyse. He's very talented and takes the time to listen to what look you're going for and gives you a few options. I also like that Sylyse also cares about the actual health of your hair and will be sure to warn you about doing anything that's too damaging, etc... In general, I'd trust any of the Shampoo Avenue B stylists. They are all very good at their craft, working with color, and the feel of the salon is very laid back and relaxed. I've had two great experiences at Shampoo, both with Emily. She has a great eye and took a few simple photo examples of what I was looking for and made it work perfectly with my hair. I am a huge fan of hers and the salon, everyone is super friendly and welcoming. They have great products and aren't pushy with things you dont really need, unlike some salons. Really happy I found this place!
