I found out about Shampoo Avenue B from a friend of mine, who recommended Jessica. Shampoo Ave B is a great place - their customer service is great and appointment booking is easy both via phone and online. I've been going to Amelia for over a year - and she knows exactly how to cut and color based on a few sentences. My go to salon!
It's so hard to find a stylist that knows how to cut short hair. It takes a lot of precision, time, & creativity. Jessica A. At Shampoo is one of the best! I've lived in many cities and no one cuts my hair better than Jessica. The salon is spunky & great. All the staff is so friendly and the assistants give the best head massages while shampooing your hair. I swear they have to wake me up everytime. The prices are typical for NYC and a great value for the services provided.
Shampoo Avenue B is my new favorite hair salon in the city. The staff here is exceptionally talented and personable. The prices are great and I am consistently happy with their haircuts and blowouts. I love this salon and recommend it to all of my friends.
One of the best haircuts I've ever had. It was my first time at Shampoo Avenue B. Charles cut, highlighted and blew out my hair. I wasn't quite sure the color I wanted so he took his time with me going through hair color swatches until I found the right one for my skin tone. He gave me a wonderful cut which made my long hair feel very light and fluffy. He checked with me throughout to make sure I was happy. The blow out was beautiful. I'll 100% go back.

I've been going to Shampoo Ave B for about 2 years and absolutely love their service. My hairstylist is Aut and she is AMAZING. I'm relatively conservative with my hair but occasionally like something different and she always delivers. I highly recommend this salon!
I went to Shampoo Avenue B as my first salon when moving to NYC. It was also the first time I was getting bangs. Needless to say I was very happy with Eric as my stylist. The staff is always friendly and the prices are great for NYC. I highly recommend the salon!
