Spent 3 years looking for a good salon in NYC. Found Shampoo Avenue B and will be going here for my haircuts as long as i'm in NYC. Great friendly service and always a quality cut. Receptionist is always welcoming and offers you a drink when you arrive, very reasonable prices, and great stylists.

I love Shampoo Avenue B. I got a LifeBooker deal there close to 2 years ago, and have never looked back. Sylyse is incredibly talented, both with color and cut. He always knows exactly what I want - I've never gotten so many compliments on my hair in my life! I'm usually one to bounce around salons trying to find a good cut, but Sylyse continues to go above and beyond my expectations at Shampoo Avenue B. I definitely recommend it to anyone!

I've been a client at Shampoo Avenue B for the past year and change - I'm in love. Never has my hair looked this good. My highlights are perfection and haircuts precise. The entirety of the staff is friendly, courteous and professional. I go into the salon relaxed and confident each time that I'll be getting exactly what I've asked for (and looking fabulous in the end!). My first few years living in NYC I tried multiple salons that were recommended to me by friends however I was never satisfied with them...until I came across Shampoo Avenue B! I have been going to Shampoo Avenue B every month for more than a year, and I've always been very satisfied with all their services, from cut to color. But even if the staff is very professional and knowledgeable, this is not even the best thing about this salon: people are just great there! Great salon with a fantastic customer service culture. Carlos is my go to person. He takes the time and patience to cut/style your hair. You will leave his chair feeling happy and satisfied with his work.

Aut S gave me BY FAR the best hair cut I've ever had. I was really anxious going in, it was my first hair cut in NYC while I was an intern there this summer, and she knew exactly what I wanted fixed/updated before I could even say it. Her attention to detail down to the finishing product was amazing. I left the salon happier than ever and noticed a slight shimmer in my (no longer mom-bobbed) blonde hair. It was perfect! The best place to get a men's cut in NYC. After moving to NYC, I tried a few different places -- Shampoo Avenue B pays close attention to every detail of a cut, wouldn't go anywhere else in the city.
