I've been going to Shampoo Avenue B for a little over a year now, where Sylyse has cut my hair every time. It's been a great experience thus far. After a few bad cuts and highlights at other salons its nice to be able to sit with a stylist and have a conversation about what you like, what you don't and see if they have any suggestions/tips. I found this place on a whim through a gilt city coupon and glad I did. After 5 years searching for a place that understood my long fine, but strangely thick hair - I found Erik. He is a layering whiz kid I swear.

I've had my hair cut and colored at Shampoo Avenue B and Jennifer is the best colorist/stylist. She's very efficient and her work is flawless. I've always had a great experience every time I would go there -- be it for a cut, blow dry or coloring.

After searching far too long for a stylist that could give my fine, curly hair an appropriate form and look, I finally found what I was looking for at Shampoo Avenue B. Raquel is a wonder. She understands exactly what is needed for your specific hair type and makes you walk out of the salon looking and feeling like a million bucks. I have been going to Shampoo Avenue B for the past year. My hairdresser is Andrea, and she is the bomb! I'm completely confident that she will make my hair look amazing, no matter what shape it's in. Andrea has made every crazy haircut idea I've had look great, and afterwards I always get a ton of compliments regarding my hair. Also, their trims are only $20! Amazing.

I have been a regular customer at Shampoo Avenue B since they did such a great job for my daughter's wedding. Emily is my hair stylist and she always take great care in cutting and styling my hair. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, I would highly recommend Shampoo Avenue B.

Had a wonderful experience at Shampoo Avenue B thanks to Lifebooker. The stylist was communicative, professional but easy to talk to, and most importanly, knew what he was doing. I walked out feeling amazing -- and confident that I'd finally found a new salon to frequent. I'll be back within the month and am super pumped to see their new location!

I went to Shampoo Avenue B several weeks ago for the first haircut that I've gotten in NYC. Normally, I put them off until I visit home in CA because I have been convinced that no one could come close to doing as good of a job as my hairdresser there. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by Shampoo Avenue B. They kindly offered to take my coat and bring me the beverage of my choice while I waited.
