Everyone is really friendly and Emily did a great job! If you are looking for someone that is great with long hair, she is really good. They also have rewards points, etc so you can eventually use them towards a service.

I've gone here twice - the first time was on a Gilt City deal: cut & single process. To be honest the cut was nothing special and my hair came out looking the same color. Everybody raves about this place though so I was willing to give it another shot - especially since they're open so late and are 2 min away from my apt. Got a cut with Kathryn (I think? sorry if the name is wrong!) but she was great - knew exactly what I wanted & explained what went wrong with my last couple cuts, and how she'd be able to fix it, etc. Thank... read more

I've gotten my hair cut at Shampoo a few times, and have been extremely satisfied each visit. The salon is really nice, very clean, and the employees are very friendly and personable. Aut cuts my hair and I have no intention of going to another stylist. She does a consistently great job, remembers what your preferences are, and is always patient to listen to your requests. I would highly recommend this salon!

Received yet another great cut and color from Jessica! She really knows her stuff and can offer great advise if you're on the fence about styles (as I usually am), yet she also listens to your needs and takes them into account, as well. Nothing worse than a hair stylist who does what he/she wants rather than what you want! I've only been to Jessica the few times I've gotten my hair cut/colored at Shampoo Ave B, but it's clear that the whole crew bangs out perfection all day everyday! I absolutely love Shampoo Avenue B. They are welcoming and attentive and I'm so glad I found this gem. My stylist, Charlie, is absolutely incredible and makes me feel (and look) beautiful every time I leave. Everyone should definitely go here!

I had a fantastic experience at Shampoo Avenue B! I had my hair cut by Emily and she did an amazing job. I have long thick hair and it requires some serious skill to cut it well so it falls nicely. Emily understands how to frame your face and she took the time to blend and cut all of my layers by hand, as opposed to using those scissors with the comb on the other side! I was very pleased!

Shampoo Avenue B is the hair salon I settled upon after trying multiple other salons all over NYC. I've used several stylists here and have been impressed by all of them - I've also had very long hair and then very short hair cut here and always found my stylist completely able to work with what I have! It is great that they will be moving into a larger space- excited to continue to have them be my go-to NYC salon.

LOVE this place! Not too difficult to get an appointment, and I got a fantastic cut by Emily. She was so sweet and honest about treatment for my hair and I loved how it grew out. Already recommended to my friends, and they agree, top notch!?
