Stay clear of this dealership! My wife and I were in the market for a Highlander and arranged a test drive, ready to buy a vehicle. Their customer service dept. informed us that the specific vehicle we were interested in would be "ready at the front of the lot". We had a 1 1/2 hour drive to Brookfield only to get there to learn they had sold the vehicle the previous day. No call, no text, no email to let us know! Went ready to buy a 2019 *** ******* that was advertised on the website for 16,997 with 10 miles on it, when we get there and take it out as start trying to get the numbers going they tell me and my father that the price is not that, they say he doesn’t qualify for all the promos that are tacked onto the price so that he only gets $3000 off plus a extra $2000 because the truck actually has over 5000 miles not the 10 as advertised. Went to Napleton Kia in St Peters yesterday. Asked the leice on a car...they said they had to go look. Whike they were gone i looked it up online. It was $20000...when he came back he told me $22500.because theres a $2500 adendum tht Napletin makes you buy their "Naoleton Experience" i said i dont want tht i just want the car. I was told i had to buy tht $2500 Napleton Experience...its not an option. So my Napleton experience was crap and id never go back. So they lost a sale and a customer.
This is specifically about the Napleton's branch in Urbana IL: Whatever you do, do NOT do business with Napleton's... they don't care about you at all! Finance manager told us we'd get a better rate from the bank if we added extras to our car purchase. This is highly illegal and a complaint was filed with the CFPB and the FTC. The service department also doesn't care about their customers. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I agreed to purchase a vehicle out of state. I negotiated for 3 days on the price and trade in value for my vehicle. On a Friday, I agreed to purchase the vehicle and the dealership sent me over the Bill of Sale. I committed to securing a bank loan the following Monday and driving 200 miles to Chicago on Tuesday to pick up the vehicle. My wife and I came here on Sunday 7/14/2019. We went to buy ********300 touring sedan priced at $32,280 MSRP but was lowered to $23,731.00 with dealer discount of $8,529.00. Our salesman Steve told us that we did not meet all the criteria needed to get all of the said discount. He called his manager and we agreed upon the sales price of $24,500. Went to buy a used car 2 people contacted me that day from there, got there after a long ride with my ill wife and there was no car! Then got a text and video when I got home about when i was coming there to test drive and get my car appraised , still have not heard a word from them after 5 calls and an e mail. Customer care and service, not even close !
Holy cow what does it take for them to stop sending me mail and emails? I've asked in person, I've asked in emails, I've asked in letters. They just won't STOP. The same for the Oakbrook one. It makes me NEVER WANT TO GO NEAR any of the dealerships ever again. I had taken my ***** in for a recall and asked at the time that I not be put on any list. That was over 2 years ago! I'm SO TIRED OF IT. Please just leave me alone. And why should I have to ask repeatedly anyway?
