Don't shop at Austin Plumbing Supply ! – I bought a sink from APS on February 5, 2008 and still didn't have one as of mid August, when I formally requested a refund (verbal requests were not granted) . I inspected the sinks carefully at the store -- after having one encounter with owner Bill Sullivan and reading on-line reviews -- and rejected four clearly damaged sinks. Insulting and Sexist Owner Won't Abide By His Return Policy – I purchased a toilet tank, toilet bowl, and toilet seat from Austin Plumbing Supply on 10/29/2008. When my plumber arrived the next morning to do some work that included installing the new toilet, he found that the bottom of the toilet tank was cracked. Clearly they don't care about customer service – Yesterday I bought a $200 toilet from Austin Plumbing Supply... not the most expensive one but still my money went to them. I installed it today and found a small plastic piece missing. I drove back across town to their store. I spoke with the sales girl who sold it to me and explained what had happened. Amazing selection – I just finished remodelling a kitchen and used Austin Plumbing Supply for all my faucets and sinks. Not do they have an excellent selection of products on display, but they can special order anything you want. The sink that I decided on was something that no one else was able to get for me but Austin Plumbing Supply was able to do it without a problem. I recieved the item right when they said I would without a hiccup or mistake. I would recommend them to anyone looking for great plumbing fixtures.
Horrible customer service – Buy at your peril. Based on our experience, customer service ceases the moment you pay the bill. Approx. two weeks before the scheduled installation of new counter tops, we purchased a high end faucet set in connection with a kitchen upgrade. We were advised the set was not in stock and had to be ordered. Twice, prior to completing the sale, we were assured it would arrive prior to the scheduled counter top installation date. No problem. Terrible service! I'll never buy from them again. – I bought a very expensive, high end toilet from Austin Plumbing. They have a sales staff that consists of very attractive girls who know absolutely nothing about what they're selling. Hmm, I wonder why. My order was delayed several weeks without notice and when I called they were very rude to me. WORST IN AUSTIN – I hate to even give this a**hole one star, I would give zero if I could. I wish we had read the reviews before going there. From receiving insulting personal comments to hanging up on us twice, we have NEVER experienced such terrible customer service, and all by Bill, the owner, no less. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM AUSTIN PLUMBING SUPPLY. Not only do they have a poor selection, they have unhelpful staff and horrendous customer service.
Worst Owner Ever – I have never been treated as less of a human being as I was by the owner, Bill Sullivan. I am an architect in Austin and this was my first experience with APS.
