Beware! This hotel cancelled our reservation with no notice 1 day before our family is supposed to arrive! We are scheduled to arrive at the Renaissance Asheville on Thanksgiving. And already reserved Thanksgiving dinner at the hotel, in fact. Unfortunately this hotel was not what I was expecting. Its a poor representation of the Marriott name. We checked in on Friday. The man who checked us in insisted we booked a queen room, which we knew was incorrect. After further investigation, by calling Marriott customer service, we found out that we booked a king room and the morning of our arrival the room was changed to a queen by the hotel bc they over sold king rooms. Beautiful property, great location, excellent staff, well appointed rooms and wonderful facilities. I highly recommend this property for business or pleasure.

Amazing guest service absolutely above and beyond. The room has beautiful city view. Bedding is so comfy and clean. Everything is in walking distance 💫 definitely recommend and will come back here if we visit Asheville again.
The water at the hotel is brown and filled with sediment. Please don’t check in over the next few days if you don’t have to. The property is typically womderful. Make sure water quality has improved prior to check in. The front desk says the water is fine, but I don’t want to bathe in it much less drink it
Love the location and overall atmosphere of this hotel! I would recommend and stay again for sure. You are within walking distance of downtown. Great restaurants and bars. The only opportunity I see personally with this beautiful hotel is the fact that room service stops at 11. Room service is typically considered an amenity and for the kitchen to close as early as it does is unappealing. Other then that this hotel is great!
