I guess when you're the only one providing a electric power to a community, without competition, then good customer service is not a priority. I believe this is the case with Arizona Public Service. We used the online service to schedule the power to be turned on in our home that we were closing on. The was done several days before closing. We even received confirmation that it was going to happen. We closed on Friday and there was no power as it was scheduled. We moved in on Saturday and went the entire weekend without heat... read more

In our area, APS is the only option for electricity, which is a necessity in everyday life. Over the last 5 years, however, we have dealt with bills that were exceedingly high. I have called many times to figure out how to lower my bill and I hear the same thing over and over. But I already have taken action and STILL have bills that are outrageous! And all they do is keep hiking our rates! In our home, a 1408 sqft., single story, single family home we have: *Black out blinds on all of our windows *Temps set at 80 degrees du... read more

Terrible company and awful customer service! I am new in APS territory. I tried to pay my first electric bill via auto payment option and managed to set my bank account in their website. I entered exactly what I saw on my check book, as my checking account number and paid the bill. APS sent me a confirmation email, but later on, they sent me another email, telling me that I can't use auto payment service til next year, I guess because the account number was wrong. The worst part is that APS has blocked my access to any other... read more

Because APS got a returned mail notice from us, we never got a statement, and there was no courtesy call to let us know that was the situation. My fiance and I have lived in our apartment for 6 months and for some reason the customer service team just can't get that right. Didn't get a statement in the mail having busy lives we lost track of what we owe and then all of a sudden shut off to the correct address? My fiance has spoken with 3 different people trying to pay our bill, after being disconnected twice and no one had t... read more

APS is a complete scam. I use $105 of electricity and my bill was $340 for fees. They have doubled or tripled all of their "fees" and are making it very hard for people to afford to keep their houses cool in summer. My bill was $305 just to keep my house at 85 degrees during the summer time. It should be illegal how much they charge their customers.

I wish I could file a BBB complaint against the BBB. APS has not 1 single positive review and 96% negative reviews but an A+ Rating. They dont resolve complaints. BBB is actually just a ***** ****** themselves. Having a BBB business accreditation doesnt actually mean you are a decent company, you *** to have an A+. I handle BBB responses for multiple companies and you have to pay them a ton of money for your accreditation and then if you dont resolve your complaints with the consumers you have to pay more money or they *****... read more

After moving out of my previous residence in Flagstaff and attempting to set up a new account with APS for my current address, I am still being charged for 2 accounts within the same address. 8/22/17 I started attempting to resolve the issue with a young lady named Jerry in customer service and after a half hour of explaining the situation she still did not understand. At this point I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. Another young lady Ester picked up the phone and I again began to reexplain my plight. After about an... read more

These people are rude and on their website where i sign in my account you can check your daily usage of electricity and most of the time it isn't working and when i call you get different stories, one say there is no problem that it is reading my daily usage but it isn't, another tell me they are working on it and then nastily say and WE DON"T know when it will be, their website is a mess

I live in North Phoenix with my wife and four kids. We started to have some financial difficulties due to loss of income and could not pay our bill for the month of June 2017. I called APS and made an arrangement to pay this bill and the next bill on the next due date. We were on the equalizer program but got kicked off for being late and it was not enough this left me owing $2040.30. We agreed to pay this in full before 8-1. After that my wife received some monies and I decided to pay the one of the bills for $944.30 and th... read more
