Apria is THE WORST company I have ever dealt with. Almost 4 months ago they promised my wife a portable oxygen generator. As of today, no generator, and they cannot find the order. This is the third time we are trying to get her an oxygen generator, already approved by Medicare. They lied to us, on numerous occasions, about the unit being on order. Very bad telephone system. Sounds like they are under water. DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT try to do business with this company outside normal business hours. I was transferred eight times and was finally told that I would have to call back on Monday. This has to be the WORST durable medical equipment company to deal with. They buy a complete CPAP mask then bill for each piece separately. Would go elsewhere if not locked in by insurance.
THIS COMPANY MAY RUIN YOUR CREDIT!! Received a collection phone call yesterday from APRIA. I have 800+ credit score and NO late payments in my history. Company sent me wrong supplies. After being bounced around on phone for over 30 min.(including being transferred several times to a disconnected extension, I was told correct items would be sent. Please please stop the once or twice daily phone calls. I have found another provider for my supplies. The Better Business Bureau had to intervene in finally getting the insurance payments made to be credited to my account. It was a long situation involving Apria on many levels. I sent copies of Explanation of Benefits showing payments made and they were ignored and another billing would be sent to me. Nine months was long enough. Stop the phone calls!
Apria Healthcare provides the worst customer service I have ever experienced. There is a culture of "that's not my job" and passing the buck that is a danger to any patient that has to rely on Apria for his/her healthcare needs. Apria should not have the right or privilege to have "healthcare" anywhere in their name. The least they do is care about anyone's health.
Apria Healthcare SUCKS!! Wait times of over an hour if you call in, no response if you send a letter. Can not even get a hold of the local office. Lied to, ignored, FRAUDULANTLY billed my insurance company for a humidifier I never had. Sent me a statement dated 14 Dec 2015, with a due date of Jan 4 2016. Then I get a letter from a collection agency dated 30 Dec 2015!! NEVER, EVER use Apria!!! You have been warned!!!
Some of the people that work there are really trying. But when you make a payment online on Dec. 23rd and get calls on Dec. 29th wanting the same payment but are told their system is down and can't confirm payment made and still wants me to make another payment. The payment cleared my bank on Dec. 28th, today is Jan 8th, and payment STILL NOT POSTING on Apria site.
