A warning to all teachers thinking about coming here on field trips. I brought my class to see the, "Mrs. Claus: Littlest Reindeer" and train ride. The staff were unprofessional on many aspects. We did not receive what we signed up for. We had to wait 15 minutes in the rain until they finally came out to get us. We then had to wait an additional 20 minutes before the show started. Sitting around with 43 kids waiting impatiently was a blast. We then went on their train ride. You would think they would have wiped the seats off... read more
Business response:
Dear Amanda, We are very sorry and agree that what happened during your field trip to Apple Holler was unacceptable. We take full responsibility and will be refunding all your money. We are embarrassed and apologize for your field trip experience. We want to assure you that this is not how we normally conduct our field trips. We truly want our guests to have great memories of their visit to Apple Holler. We feel really bad about this and hope you accept our sincere apologies. Sincerely, Dave
We love Apple Holler!!! They have the best apple cider donuts!!
Business response:
Thank you for the 5-star review!
This place is a complete rip off. $20 to go back into the orchard then they charge you for the apples in addition. I do all the work of picking the apples and get charged to do the work. Then I have to pay more money to pay for the apples I picked.
Business response:
Dear Leigh, I’m sorry but, I think you have misunderstood our pricing. You do not have to pay more money to pay for the apples after you pick them. The $20 per person includes the bag and the apples, plus what ever apples you want to eat in the orchard, PLUS it also includes the wagon ride to and from the orchard, all day admission to our farm park with the Giant Slide, Kids Corral Play Area, Corn Palace Corn Box, Crazy Corn Maze, Cool Cow Trivia Maze, Fun House Tunnel, farm animals and more. At Apple Holler we offer the ful... read more
Everything is so overpriced! We had the lunch buffet which cost about $15, and the food is really below average with very little options. The pasta was dry, most of the food trays were empty and the wait was about 1 hr. After lunch we went to pay for the entrance fee and I think $20 for a VERY small bag of apples is ridiculous! There's no way that bag is 7 lbs. We ended up just paying the $8 fee for the petting zoo which was still overpriced considering they just have a few goats, but we tried to have fun and make the most o... read more
Business response:
Dear Sam, We are sorry that you were disappointed in your visit. The $20 per person is not just for the bag that holds about 5-7 lbs. of apples, it also includes the wagon ride to and from the orchard, tasting of the many varieties of apple we are currently picking in the orchard, all day admission to our farm park with the Giant Slide, Kids Corral Play Area, Corn Palace Corn Box, Crazy Corn Maze, Cool Cow Trivia Maze, Fun House Tunnel, farm animals and more. At Apple Holler we offer the full apple farm experience. Would you... read more
I thought this would be a nice spot to go to on a Sunday with my boyfriend, but it really wasn't. First off, the prices are astronomically high for what you get. We paid 20 dollars each to fit 8 apples in our tiny bags. The breakfast buffet food was good, but wasn't hot and fresh like you'd expect for 15 bucks a person. Another thing was how dirty it was. There was garbage everywhere and the employees were rude. I don't think I'll come back again. Looking for other places to start a fall timetradition.
Business response:
Dear Eric, Thank you for visiting our family farm and orchard. We are glad that you enjoyed our breakfast buffet. We are sorry it wasn’t as hot as it should have been. We are sorry about any trash not picked up. We get extremely busy on the weekends and we need to do a better job with keeping it clean. We don’t like seeing anyone leave our doors unhappy. Please contact us privately with your contact information, so that we can try to make things right. Sincerely, Beth
Cider was delicious, kids had a blast , i even had fun
Business response:
Hello, thank you for visiting us and taking the time to write a review about your positive experience. We're very happy that the children you were with had fun and that even you (we assume you're the adult) had a good time too! Hope you'll visit us again, have a great week!
Very unfriendly staff pushy and very high prices. If you went into an area that you didn't have a ticket for and didn't realize that they would chase you down and kick you out immediately, how nice when you have kids with. Do I recommend ?... Absolutely not. Bottom line high prices and unfriendly and pushy!
so many other Apple places to chose from. Apple Holler needs to turn it around or no one will go next year.
Business response:
Hello Serafina Jane Scholl, We are sorry that you were disappointed in your visit. Would you please private message us to further discuss your experience here? We want everyone to leave our doors happy.
$93 for 5 bags that could only hold 9 apples. The apples on the trees were bug ridden and a majority didn't even have apples on them. I will never ever ever go there again!
Business response:
Hello Lyn, We are sorry that you did not have any thing less than a great time at Apple Holler. With so many trees in our very large orchard (60 acres and over 30,000 trees) it can be a challenge to find apples. It sounds like you may have not gotten good directions and or information to find the best picking areas. We are sorry about that. Some of our apples may have a few bumps and holes in the surface, which was caused by damage from hail. But no our apples do not have worms or bugs. It is our goal that everyone leaves ha... read more
