I took my nieces this weekend and was incredibly disappointed by the unfriendly staff and patronizing owner. He gave my mom bad information which caused a lot of frustration. Thank goodness my nieces didn't notice what was going on but I will NEVER go again and I will be spreading the word that this place is over priced and the staff has no regard for their customers! Find another apple orchard to take your family!

Business response:

Dear Frankie, We are sorry that you had anything less than a great time. We are sorry for any confusion about closing times. We apologize that any of our staff seemed rude. Generally we have exceptional employees. We do care a lot about our customers. Our hope is that everyone leaves the farm happy. Sincerely, Dave, Apple Holler Owner

I took my grandson we had a great time! Lots of fun we did not pick apples, he is only three . He loved all the slides and the peddle cars. Playing in the corn was a favorite, along with climbing on all the hay.! He played on everything at least twice and could have stayed there all day!

I don't understand why everyone is complaining about prices. This is an EXPERIENCE! where else can you pay $20 to pick apples, eat unlimited amounts of them, and pet cute little goats and chickens? I had an amazing time here today, just like I always do. What's $20 a person compared to a day full of fun and great memories?

Business response:

Howdy Payton Alexis Schnell! Thank you for visiting Apple Holler on your special day -we read it was your anniversary - Happy Anniversary! Also, thanks much for taking the time to post a 5-Star Rating and a supportive review about your fun-filled experience making memories with us and with Facebook users. p.s. You managed to PET a chicken? They always run fast away from me ;-)

We paid $75 for a bag of apples that were impossible to find because the whole orchard was damaged from the hail storm a few weeks ago (we found out from a worker after we were done). We won't come back and have been coming for 7 years but we did try some place else last year that was way too expensive and the whole time talked about how much we missed Apple Holler. We showed up 13 minutes after you opened and the amount of people in line was crazy, then when we finally got to purchase our bag and were charged $75, it was th... read more

Business response:

Dear Alissa, Yes, we were extremely busy this weekend. We're sorry to hear that you had a hard time finding apples. We have a very large orchard with over 30,000 fruit trees on 60 acres with over 30 different varieties of apples. Because it is so large we employ staff specifically to help our guests find the varieties they want. Yes, we did have a hail storm about a month ago. But many parts of the orchard were untouched by the storm and over the weekend we picked Honeycrisp, Gala, Fuji, Snowsweet, Golden Supreme and McIntos... read more

I'm from Chicago and I can never get my family out of the city. We are all workaholics but I was determined to enjoy our Saturday out of the city. Myself, my 2 daughters, my mom and dad came to Apple Holler and had the best time. We went to the apple orchard and got wonderful golden supreme & honey crisp. My two year old enjoyed eating and walking through the orchard. My father loved reaching for high apples that were ripe. We worked up an appetite and went to the restaurant. Service was outstanding. The buffet was delicious... read more
