RecommendedDr. Gigler and the team took great care of our duck, Penny. I can't recommend them enough!
Our puppy had an emergency and they were unable to fit him in, evidently they are scheduling appointments too close together. We also received the "welcome to the clinic letter" the only problem was it was some other customers letter.
Dr. Gigler and her staff are always kind and understanding to my somewhat anxious two dogs. They get down on the floor with the animals, and never threaten them with any type of aggressive treatment, but are able to come up with an accurate diagnosis. They have treated all of my animals, both cats and dogs, some at the end of their lives, and they did it with empathy and tenderness. I would highly recommend this vet practice. The only reason I did not give them a perfect score is I do think they are somewhat costly.
The Dr. and assistant were so sweet with my cat. They truly seem to love their jobs. Would definitely recommend them.
I called to get my bird Solomon in because of odd behavior. With any animal you know as the owner when things aren’t normal! They got him in right away & gave him an exam & they know how to handle a bird! I was nervous because we been going to ISU but the aviary vet retired so we tried Ankeny. I will definitely go back ! Was very pleased!tThanks Dr. Giggler for an awesome experience!

I would highly RECOMMEND Ankeny Animal & Avian Clinic for any needs you have for your fur babies!!! I took my Chiuhaua named Charlee and she had to get a few shots but a few hours after we got home she was crying in pain it broke my heart. I immediately called and got to talk to the Veterinarian about Charlee and her pain and they stayed open 10mins later after closing to make sure I got pain meds for her!!!!! Thank You So Much For EVERYTHING and ALL you do for our fur babies everywhere!!!
very friendly staff. My cat loves them. Takes time to explain any questions you have about your pets care.
