The doctors and staff listen and spend time reassuring not only the human but the also the animal. Unlike many vets these people take the time to put the animal at ease before attempting to diagnose and treat. With separate waiting and treatment rooms for cats and dogs they really do want the animal to be as comfortable as possible. This has to be the best veterinary clinic I’ve ever used.

OMG but I am thrilled to have found these awesome vets at such a wonderful, friendly place ... and believe me, I am picky!! I want my vet(s) to be up-to-date on the best, most holistic approaches to veterinary care in order to help me keep my dog alive in the healthiest way and for the longest life possible! It took me a while to find a vet skilled in modified spays, but they got it! We took my baby Luna to the Animal Hospital of Rowlett, we step in with positive to parvo and a fever of 103.. let me tell you, the Doctor & Nurses we AMAZING!! not letting behind the receptionist .. amazing team couldn't been possible with y'all.. they guide me through the process,I received an email with the steps I needed to follow with my baby Luna..they were able to make my baby eat , play and be a puppy again... thank you thank you... May the Lord continue to bless y'all..

A wonderful caring staff! The doctors and staff were incredibly knowledgeable which really put me at ease. They don't try to sell you any services you do not need and they cared for my pet above and beyond my high standards.

I can’t say enough nice things about Dr Downes and the incredible staff at Animal Hospital of Rowlett. We had an emergency with our sick little girl and our vet blew us off because it was 15 mins before they were closing. She was sick with the same thing that she’s always sick with, but they didn’t want to take the time to help us. I called AHR and they got us in late in the day as an emergency case even though we weren’t patients of theirs. Absolutely love this vet clinic! They treat all of my and my family’s babies with such patience! I also really love the separate entrances for cats and dogs as my kitties have never been around dogs and get scared. Y’all are the best!

I can't express how much the care and genuine concern shown by the doctors and staff at AHR has impressed us over and over again! Dr. Carter takes such good care of our kids, and we have had great experiences with all of the doctors. Recently we had an emergency situation and they squeezed us in to take care of it - we can't imagine going anywhere else!!!

I really cannot say enough good things about Dr. Downes and the staff at the clinic. One of our dogs is not the easiest. Some might even say she’s difficult. They get us immediately back in a room to avoid her seeing other dogs/people, because they know this is a stressor for her. It’s awesome. But that they remember this visit after visit, with a year between, is outstanding. They give us medication to ease her stress as much as possible, and handle her with absolute care. We had to bring our Chi(Gigi) to a local(Little Elm) for shots more as a convenience. My little dog hurt for a week. The atmosphere wasn’t the same. The trip to Rowlett is worth the care and respect we get.
