On our Suffolk tour for r days, we stopped a Snetterton for the night and was recommended to go to the Angel, only a 1½miles away. I love old pubs. It was busy with a visiting rugby team so the atmosphere was good. We were seated in a quiet room, next to an inglenook fireplace - fantastic room. We kept it simple and gad thr vurger and a coke. We loved the burgers - tasty beef burger, lovely onion rings and perfect chips. No complaints from us - Good value, good atmosphere, good food.......Simples.
Service is very good, very attentive. The good is plentyful. Thought I would say the Steak and Ale pie was very disappointing .... It's basically beef stew with a thick pastry hat. Sorry but this is not a pie in my world. That is they only downside everything else was fine.
Second meal here this month. First was the steak. Cooked to perfection. And love love love the Rhubarb Cider. Went this Tuesday with our friends 17th Sept we had the Beef and Ale pies. OMG. Melt in your mouth Steak and there was lots of it under the crust. Veg done just right still had a bite on them. And of course we all had dessert. Again fantastic. And glasses of Rhubarb Cider. Will be back for another meal. Well done to all the Staff and don’t ever let the Chef leave. Kind Regards Janet & Trevor Curtis
