I had a consultation with her a few months ago. Long waiting period for an appointment. There is no front desk or anyone to help you when you walk in, just a tablet that you sign in on your own. Even though they stress timelyness in their reminders I had to wait 30 minute wait past my appointment time. The physician was not very friendly and rushed through the appointment.
Business response:
Since checking in to an appt is pretty straight forward, our clients love that the only person they interact with is their provider. I'm sorry your wait was longer than normal & the hour your clinician dedicated to you made you feel rushed. While most medical providers pop in for the last 20 min of an appt after the patient has been run thru an assembly line from front office staff to medical assistant to RN, our clinicians prefer to provide direct and personalized care. We wish you the best
Great provider
Beware! Notice how she replies to negative feedback - very unprofessional, sharing client confidential information. Callous and rude, find someone else far more qualified to care for you.
Business response:
I'm sorry you feel I should not reply to negative feedback posted by anonymous people on health grades. I have learned to not avoid conflict, but instead assertively express my view point. While some people might interpret being assertive as rude and callous I view it as being confident that your voice and your view matters. Conflict is inevitable and avoiding a conflict is like avoiding paying taxes. The longer is goes unattended the worse it will be when you finally address it.
I've been seeing Amy since she open her office, she was very caring and knowledgeable in her field. Since then she has gone very tech. If you do not have a computer or how to operate one, this is not the office for you. Always running late for appointments, you must stay and wait, if you leave you will be charged for the appointment. She finds a way to charge for anything she can. If you move and she needs to forward class 2 meds, you will be charged $25, just an example. You will sign a waiver to ok the charges before seen.... read more
Amy took her time to understand what I felt, and she really seeks to help patients manage their symptoms on the lowest dosage of medication possible. By pairing medication with other coping mechanisms and tools, Amy has supported me in taking charge of my own wellness.
Amy is an amazing psych PA. She's compassionate, thorough, & takes time to address non medical issues that contribute to my symptoms. I've been able to wean off of several meds as a result. She pushes me to develop healthier ways of coping which I greatly appreciate. However if you are looking for a provider that will let you dictate how you want things done then this isn't the place for you. Amy will hold you accountable which I suspect is why she has a few bad reviews on here.
Amy Morrison is a PA. She does not report to a physician with a degree in Psychology, meaning there is no experienced, licensed authority reviewing her medical recommendations. This is a MAJOR red flag! Amy hides behind draconian protocols that only serve to line her wallet and limit her responsibility to patient care. Do not recommend.
Business response:
As my profile reflects, I am a PA. Texas state law does not allow a PA to be supervised by a psychologist which is why I am supervised by a licensed MD approved by the Texas State Board of Medicine. Patients who do not attend their scheduled appointments because they want to get new meds prescribed to them for free are discharged from my practice. Just like your lawyer and accountant, my self respect does not allow me to work for free...
RUN! RUN! RUN! Please don't waste your time or money on this unethical place. What a complete waste of time and an embarrassment to the psychiatric community of good professional doctors. Amy Morrison is the reason one does not seek help. I could have watch a fictional character named Frasier Kran on TV and received better feedback for the unscrupulous price I paid. My GOD! Do yourself a favor and seek real professional help from a DOCTOR not a physician assistant. Shame on me for trying!
Business response:
You were never seen in my office, your family member paid a no show fee. Shame on you for attempting to tarnish my reputation after I refused to refund the fee THAT DIDN'T INVOLVE YOU . Psychiatry clinics throughout the community have waiting lists a mile long of people desperate to get help and hoping to be worked into into a cancellation slot. It is unconscionable to squander a limited and valuable community resource and then complain about it online after being held accountable.
Dr. Morrison is incredibly personable, professional, and makes you feel right at home. Her loving fur baby, Roxy, is just the cherry on top for each of my visits as she will sit next to me for some cuddles and belly rubs. Wonderful facility and a safe space for discussing confidential matters.
Business response:
Thank you so much for the kind words, but please call me Amy. I am very proud to be a PA and do not have a doctorate degree so the formal title of doctor should not be used to address me.
