I arrived in Canterbury in 2024 for an MSc at the University of Kent, and I hoped to join the club alongside my studies. However, due to the intensity of the program, I had to put off joining the club. I finally joined at the end of August, weighing around 98 kilos and struggling even to get out of bed in the mornings. I have been a member of AMK for almost a year and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Fantastic bunch of people, great atmosphere, so good for cardio and confidence on the street, this has completely replaced the rough and tumble I used to enjoy playing rugby. Zero ego and a brilliantly enjoyable way to get and keep fit. Ben & Gemma are really lovely people and they run an incredible club, of which I am privileged to be a member. The best of the best. As someone who has always felt interested in starting Krav Maga, I walked in nervous and a bit shy. However, every person who has attended and I've met along this journey have been so incredibly down to earth. Another reason I love going here, is each person only wants their partner to succeed and learn! Ben and Gemma really care a lot and since attending on my 10th session, I have slowly felt more confident and better as a person. I highly recommend to anyone.
