I closed my account with AmeriGas on November 1 2022. And I was told I would get a refund check in 2 weeks, I didn't get my refund back, so I called them again in the first part of December. I was told my refund had not been processed yet, and I asked why not, they couldn't answer that. So I asked the girl I was talking to, to process my refund and she put me on hold then came back and said it was processed and I should get a refund check in three days. I called to discontinue service with Amerigas in August 2022. When I asked about charges for discontinuing service I was told by a customer experience advocate that there would be a $149.99 charge for them to pick up the existing tank. I also asked about credit for the remaining propane and was assured that I would receive a credit for the 38% propane still in the tank. October 7, 2022 spoke to customer experience advocate who said tank was removed 9/26/2022 at 38% fill and I could expect a credit in 4-6 weeks. Received a bi... read more

Buyer be ware!! Called for a 24hour emergency fill on Monday, no service now its's Friday. Was told it would be no problem because we are there customer and we are at 0% after 2 months of getting the tank filled by them. Did they really fill my 1,000 tank?

We were with synergy gas until this company bought them out.So they tell us if we purchase gas they’ll be no rental fee, so we do.They kept sending a rental bill on the two tanks.So we switch gas companies ( Sept. 27, 2021 )and had to hound them repeatedly to come get their tanks. They finally took them. ( This August 2022) they start sending a bill for picking up their tanks along with the rental fee.Then they start adding service charges over $30 a month and now a get a letter from a collection company which I called, I’m ... read more

We ordered gas on 12/2 was told scheduled delivery was between 12/3-12/9. We called 12/12, 12/13, 12/14, 12/15 every time I was told we would be getting gas that day. It is Friday the 16th and we still don't have gas. We have been told nothing but lies, and excuses, we have been a loyal customer since 1996. Where is the loyalty and respect for the customer ?? time to start looking elsewhere

IF ANYONE OUT THERE IS THINKING ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY, DONT!!!! THEY ARE HORRIBLE. I CAN NOT STAND THIS COMPANY. WHEN YOU CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE, THIS IS NO SERVICE!!! YOUR BASICALLY CALLING A DIFFERENT COUNTRY AND THEY ALL READ OFF OF THE SCREEN AND CAN NOT THINK FOR THEMSELVES!!!! Recently purchased a seasonal camp and the tank was already in place. My property uses propane for heat and water. However, the main water source is shut off for the winter season, but I still use it and have supplemental water as I use the heat to keep the living area above freezing. The second weekend I used the property I smelled a leak and contacted the company. A driver was sent out, located the leak, but not certified to repair it. Amerigas has failed on so many levels. They were scheduled to deliver 12/8 since calling on 12/5. We haven’t had any showers not able to cook food. They textd me saying “hooray! You’re all set, delivery complete!” Ummm NOT!! I have a very medically needy elderly mother and she is unable to shower! Now they are saying tomorrow? Customer service has zero compassion! I’m just sick and tired of this company! AmeriGas isn’t the way to go. I’d rather change all my appliances to electric than to deal with these liars!

I was charged, by Amerigas, $4.18 a gallon for propane. Propane is $2.39 a gallon in this area. I have been an acquired customer, for 45 years. They bought all the companies through the years, that I used to do business with. I am in contact with the Oklahoma State Attorney General's office about price gouging. And, I am going to talk to an attorney about a class action lawsuit, for past price gouging of all these years, for ALL of the people done wrong by Amerigas.
