I WOULD NEVER recommend AmeriGas company to anyone!!! Their customer service, wait a min. they have NO customer service. They change payment plans and make them void ALL THE TIME with no notification to their customers!!!! They bought out a small company in the small town where we live and it has been HORRIBLE!!!! I can't express how HORRIBLE!!!! I don't even want to leave them a one star because they DO NOT EVEN DESERVE THAT!!!!
Horrible customer service. My family had been a customer for more than 20 years and when we bought the property from the family we stayed with Amerigas, close to 20 years ago. I am so disgusted and disappointed with the service we received when we had a recent emergency need. We ran out of gas and called for an emergency delivery. We agreed to pay an extra $200 for delivery within 24 hours. Amerigas sucks. They cheated me out of 300.00. And now trying to say I didn’t pay 385.00 for my last fill. I have proof from my bank card. I’ve had them since 2010 never a problem with them till all this Covid stuff and they closed our town office. Now I have to call Pennsylvania. They said their gonna do an investigation and will let me know July 4th. Lol they won’t be open. And I’m on a fixed income. So yes Amerigas sucks.
Avoid! Ameri gas they rip you off! Dispatch fee and pick up charge to cancel $200. They don't credit back the correct amount in the tank upon recovery 9% instead of 28% charging $8.29 per gallon current price! That's a lot of money! Consumer beware!
If I could give Amerigas a zero star, I would. After leaving us with no gas on 2 separate occasions ( Easter and Christmas). We decided to change companies. When we were left with no gas they were unable to explain why. They could not deliver the gas to us in a timely manner and we were left with no hot water or gas for cooking. I cancelled my service after 16 years because they no longer service gas logs in February. I was told the tank would be picked up in April. In May the tank was there. I have called three times and spoke to supervisors, been promised specific dates of when the tank would be picked up and it is still here as June 21st. Apparently Amerigas only cares about the people who are putting money in their pockets.
I have been trying to get Amerigas to come pick up my tank since January 2022. Fast forward it is now June 21st. and my tank is still sitting in my driveway for pickup. Have called numerous times and just get a run around with whoever I talk with. Had my Son's graduation party with the tank in my driveway. I'm angry and would never recommend them for any type of service. Was told a district Manager would call us. Still have never heard from a District Manager. I see I am not alone in my dissatisfaction with Amerigas. My husband and I have rearranged our schedules multiple times in the past 3 years, waited all day for service and a yearly safety inspection, only for no one to show. I have made appointments for delivery by phone and later be told that there was no appointment on record. This happened 4 times in one season! I am going to file charges if they don't resolve my issue by Monday. This issue has been going on since January, 5 long months. I have spoke to well over 30 representatives and half of them were Supervisors. I have wasted over 40 hours of my time to no avail. I rent a property and had the cooking and heating propane in my name. My tenant has been trying to put it in his name so he can get help from HEAP because he is having a hard time right now.
