Amerigas filled my propane tank without my requesting it or my permission. I cancelled their service and then was charged a $149.99 fee for picking up their tank. They gave me credit of $89.78 for the remaining propane left in the tank but I am filing a dispute with the BBB for the removal change of their tank from my property.

9 MONTHS AND STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO PICK UP TANK, no problem with them billing me for rental for the year and collecting. Try getting them to come for something they own. Call the 800 number and try to speak to someone with knowledge, that is impossible - ask to speak to service to sch because we now need in our garage and have gravel coming. and guess what. AmeriGas gets a one-star for their customer service. They have outsourced their call center to India. You never know if you'll be able to understand the person that answers....sometimes you can, sometimes their accent is so heavy that communication is pointless. Worse than that, I called to have my propane inspected for a possible leak. I was told to dial 911.....seriously???? Amerigas by far is the worst business that I have to deal with in my life. I purchased fuel nearly $1,000 and they just show up out of the blue without any prior notification. I work during the day and nobody is at home a little communication would be very helpful.Bad business practice Amerigas.

Was told after years of being customer, we couldn't have tank filled because we were the administrators of a trust of the property and not the owners (who are now deceased). We sold the property and were assured the account was closed. Now they are filling the tank, and billing us, not the new owners. Customer service is basically non existent, even if you can get through, no one can go " off script" or answer any real questions about credits or ending the account again! WARNING WARNING !! terrible company. if I could i would give zero stars for Amerigas, worst company ever. they have a call center that is worse than any one I have ever done business with. I had a leased tank for 17 yrs. the top was rusted off an i called to have them come out and repair. after spending over an hr on the phone and calling back 3 times to find someone I could understand they made an appt for service to come out. they were supposed to call the day before but did not call until the morning of the appt. and the ... read more

If you are looking for a propane supplier, DON’T EVEN CONSIDER AmeriGas… keep looking. This is by far the worst company ever… doesn’t even deserve one star. PLEASE read these reviews and BEWARE!

On auto delivery and run my disabled bother out of gas. Called and told me they would make delivery. He waited 2 days for delivery. Would not use them. Run away very very fast. They will list to you over and over again.

They never showed up to fill my tank, despite multiple promises that they were “on their way.” I was hung up on multiple times after many different calls. I switched companies over a month ago and their tank is still sitting here. First it was supposed to be picked up on December 19, then January 15. It’s still here. They are also charging more than $2 per gallon compared to the local company I switched to.
