I wish I could give zero stars. Amerigas is a complete rip off. My husband called them to have gas delivered and they locked our tanks twice claiming it's for safety. Well for starters we own the tanks and do not lease from them and second when they lock your tank they charge you up to 300 dollars to unlock them. I setup a delivery for 12/7/20 at the end on Nov. They sent me an email a day before and said they had to reschedule for the 16th. Told me on the 16th it would be 12 before they got their and a no show. I called at 3PM and was told driver is still coming. So at 6PM I call and they say oh driver never checked in so they would call in the morning. Its 11am and no call so I call and being told they haven't been able to speak to anyone at my local office. I prepaid AmeriGas for propane 3 weeks ago. Still waiting for delivery of the propane. I have talk to AmeriGas several times and explained my now serious need for the propane. Each time I am told they are expediting my order. Amerigas online chat does not work. It'svery difficult to get through to talk a live person on the telephone. At the moment, I am on the phone waiting to talk to a Customer Experience Advocate and have been on hold for 40 minutes.
Takes weeks to actually get propane after scheduling. Then if I run out because of them they charge me $70.00 to push a button. Worst service and customer service ever. I have a bridge coming into my property so they have to do a tank exchange and today I was told they were doing me a courtesy. What? Lots of people have smaller tanks for different reasons.
Ordered propane from Amerigas on the 1’st of the month. Their automated system said it is scheduled for 11’th. It’s the 16’th. I’ve called them 7 days in a row and even the “emergency” line as I’ve been out of propane for the last 7 days. It put me on hold for over an hour and then the lady said that it’s 5-10 business days. Well, I called them on the 10’th day and they said it was scheduled for the day after. It is now the day after and they never showed and their “office is closed” now if you call. Liars.
Terrible customer service, have waited over a week for a site proposal to be emailed to me. I had to give them the email address three times on the phone and emailed them twice, with no luck. Every time I call and wait on hold for thirty minutes, they say they do not have the contact information. Pitiful chain of command and communications. Will most likely not use this company.
NO STARS - nobody answering phones or returning calls. website doesn't work either. cannot get anyone to respond, charlottesville VA office is closed????? not happy with lack of response to emails and voice mails
I attempted to talk with Amerigas to find out any charges/fees I might see if I cancelled my service with them. Hold times to speak to agent were over 90 minutes, and you cannot leave a message or a callback number. I have sent several emails using their Contact Us form requesting the information I seek. Amerigas has to be the WORST company to deal with!! I paid for new service on 12/1/2020 and am still waiting on propane to be delivered in Fayetteville, NC!! Calling customer service is a nightmare with hold times lasting an hour or more!! I have been promised by two different customer service reps that I would be placed on the emergency delivery schedule.
