I truly wish there was an option for no stars. I received a bill from AmeriGas on 11/30/20 for a propane tank rental. I do not and have never rented a propane tank from AmeriGas. I would normally never write a negative review for a billing error because mistakes happen and I'm happy as long as it gets corrected. The problem is that I've been contacting AmeriGas for over a month now with literally no response. I've called numerous times and held for over an hour each time, only to get disconnected without ever speaking to any... read more

If I had one word to describe Amerigas it would be 'horrible'! They bought company I'd used for years and service immediately went down the toilet! Fortunately I was able to switch to a local independent company that has impeccable service. Best decision I ever made was to change from Amerigas.

I have been a customer of Northern Energy for a long time. since they joined with Amerigas customer service has fallen off a cliff. they are supposed to fill my tank on a regular basis, but they have missed two deliveries and now I ran out of fuel. they havenot responded to me for three days even after elevating my situation to an emergency. I have fired them they do not deserve my business.

I don't ever leave poor reviews, simply because of the industry I work in however sometimes exceptions need to be made. I ordered service the week before I moved into my new house with an empty propane tank, set a time for Tuesday the 15th and a WONDERFUL guy named Aaron came out. He checked my tank, put a few gallons in and said someone would be back out to fill it up Thursday or Friday. Thursday comes and goes and my tank runs out of propane overnight. Horrible, no one answering phones, or emails, or even written communication! Sold house in August but received a bill for delivery in September. Went to a physical location (Swanzey, NH) and was told she would fix it and receive a final bill of $0. She didn't. We have now received our 3rd notice of a late bill and can't seem to get anywhere. I'm so sick to my stomach thinking this could effect my credit. AmeriGas in northern Arizona does not seem to be able to meet delivery demands leaving customers in the cold ( literally). There is no functioning system of customer service or problem resolution just people who make promises that are not kept. It almost appears that they have a corporate policy of driving away existing customers for reasons that escape me and others! It is winter in Northern Arizona and many of us heat with propane which means that service reliability is critical and in that area AmeriGas is a total failure... read more

Amerigas has me deeply frustrated and cold. We are renting a house whose propane take is rented from the company and decided to continue using their services since they owned the tank. I called Amerigas over a month ago to set up an account and to schedule a delivery. On three separate days I called and waited on hold for OVER 2 hours only for them to hang up. If no stars was an option, they would deserve that. For a new customer, they have the ABSOLUTE worst service I have ever dealt with. Inaccurate contract, no delivery, no installation, and no communication. You CANNOT reach anyone through the toll-free number, email, or via the LIVE CHAT on their website. Management should be ashamed of their performance from top to bottom.

Wow!! After reading all of these reviews I now understand why the hold times for Amerigas are upwards of 30 minutes every time I call. WE ARE ALL CALLING TO TRY TO GET OUR TANKS FILLED BECAUSE THEY NEVER SHOW UP!! We are new to Amerigas as they acquired the regional propane company we had used for 13 years and from whom we always received great service.
