Amerigas cheats their customers. Sold my house and closed my account with Amerigas in November, 2020. The new owner was going with a different propane company. I called Amerigas and asked them to remove my tank. Was told I would get a credit since I had already paid my annual tank rental in advance. Amerigas did not pick up the tank for 2 1/2 months - and only after several calls from both me and the new owner of the home. Amerigas charged $69.99 to remove the tank. My parents have requested a propane delivery at their house on Jan 30. It is now Feb 18th and they have yet to receive one. They are on critical low status and are afraid they are going to run out in the extremely low temperatures and their pipes freeze. They have called every day 2-3 times a day saying the delivery was going to be here by noon the next day and nothing. Even called the corporate office and no response! Worst customer service ever. My poor parents are still without propane we have no idea what else to do!

AmeriGas offered us a price 20 cents lower than our current supplier. That was the high point of our relationship. Three weeks to get an overpriced system check then scheduled delivery twice...no show both times. Finally we called their advanced automated system. Apparently they only put this system in so a machine can give you incorrect information instead of a live operator having to do it. Then transferred to an operator. Out of gas on their automatic monitoring system, called on Friday 2/12/21 and said they would send me an emergency refill. They will call back on Monday with details. No one called. Called Monday 2/15/21 and said will be delivered today, nothing. Called today 2/16/21 said will be delivered today. I highly doubt I will see anything. Call center is based in another country and they have no idea what is going on, sounds like they read from a script and try to get you off the phone.

I have 0 propane, was promised that day delivery, even talked to supervisor. Charged $300 for expedited delivery and on day 3 and still no propane. Awful awful customer experience

AmeriGas is horrible. We tried to order by phone and they told us we had to order on line. We did that 2/1/21 our delivery was supposed to be 2/2/21-2/15/21. On 2/15 I called because we were down to 2%. The temperature is 3 degrees to -17. I got a foreign speaking man named "Mark" on the phone. He told me they were on the way to my house(they were not). I called back at 4:30 that same day we get a woman named "Karla", she tells us it will be next week and that we are still on schedule because weekends were not figured in and... read more

Everytime I call their customer service number, they disconnect me without coming to a resolution. If I do speak with someone, they make promises but no one carries through and keeps me on hold for a very long time. When I ask to speak with a supervisor I am told one will call me back, yet no one ever does. I moved and closed my account that I had prepaid money and they promised to issue me a refund and after 4 months I still have not received it. They deserve 0 stars. This company left me without gas (hot water) for 6 days in January 2021, though I'm an auto-refill customer. They guarantee your tank will never be empty. Five calls over five days yielded no help at all, just outright lies - one agent gave me a confirmation number with his guarantee that fuel would be delivered in 2 hours - the number turned out to be a bogus string of letters and numbers. This company is the WORST company I have ever dealt with. They sent someone so I could show them where I wanted the tanks and he said it would be about 2 weeks. I called several times and was always given a date that someone would come. They gave me the run around for 3 months to install tanks. I would not recommend this company to no one. I contacted a different company and they came in 6 days and set up tanks and fill.
