I ordered lenses WITHOUT anti-glare coating because these coatings don't hold up to extreme temperatures. However, the lenses that I recieved did have anti-glare coating, which wrinkled during a mountaineering trip. My local store ordered replacement lenses, WITHOUT anti-glare coating. However, the replacement lenses also came with anti-glare coating, and again failed in the mountains. My Mother-in-law went to the Pasadena location and the completely messed up the prescription. She wore the glasses for a month just in case it was an adjustment issue. The glasses she bought were not doing what they were supposed to be doing. She went to get a second opinion from another doctor and was given a different prescription and was told that the retinal exam they did at America's Best was in correct as she had some damage on the back of her eyes. Lenses ordered were assembled in wrong frames after waiting two weeks. I was promised the correction would be put on rush order repair. After waiting another week; with still no product, I contacted customer service. They informed me they have no rush service available. I was lied to!! DO NOT BUY HERE!

I had lost my job over 5 years and was in need of new glasses. A friend paid so that i could get new glasses. I was told they'd be ready in 2 weeks. In 2 weeks i went in to pick them up, only to find that they were not correct. They asked me loud enough for everyone in the building to hear, if I was "special needs" patient. This company was the most unreliable unprofessional experience that I have had in over 20 years. I went in for a simple eye exam to have new glasses made. The optometrist told me that he was going to change something on my glasses by one point that it would make it easier on my eyes. The glasses took 4 week to be made. They told me they would call when the glasses were ready for me to pick up. I never received the call. 5 week later I called they said Oh yes your glasses are here. America's Best!? More like America's WORST!! If I could give ZERO stars I would! I have officially been trying to schedule an eye exam for a month now! I first scheduled one at the Littleton location for 12/19 (a month ago). They send you all kinds of reminders via email and text, which sounds great IF THEY EVER FOLLOWED THROUGH. The first time I got a call a few days before my appointment saying their doctor had an emergency and they needed me to reschedule. My first experience was horrendous, the women that work there (mainly the one short older African American lady..) are extremely rude. Made me super uncomfortable and felt stupid for the size glasses that I picked out stating she couldn't fit them to my face I should've known better etc. Not only that they were "out" of eye cases and wipes etc so they literally threw by brand new glasses together in a bag and showed me out. I got an eye exam, paid full in cash, was fitted with contacts, eyes re-examined and they are refusing to release the prescription to a third party (1800contacts). I have been in twice and they insist on a third visit. The optometrist was excellent (arguably one of the best) which is a shame because the ancillary staff, ****** and her manager, Sarah, were disorganized, rude, and strangely obstinate.

Was refused appointment due to a medical condition, manager was disrespectful and refused to help. Contacted corporate and they did not want to help a customer either. Poor customer service all the way to the top management. Never will return as a customer again.
