It’s a bait and switch business. 2 for $69 for hideous frames and lens that’ll get scratched by the wind. If you want normal glasses with the normal scratch resistant coating and/or antireflective coatings, the price skyrockets. They’re COVID-19 precautions are ridiculous. How can I pick out frames if half are in a red box on the floor waiting to get sanitized. Right now they are a really inconvenient scam. If you have VSP, just use a VSP provider. Better quality and better service.

I’ve never been rushed in and out so fast of any appointment in my life. But ordered a pair of glasses And a pair of sunglasses. The total surprised me at over $314 as they charge per lens.Then when I picked them up, I said they seemed blurry. She didn’t say anything. I asked her if I could come back if I had problems and she just said, “adjustments are always free.” Didn’t answer my question and I was hustled out in under 5 minutes. I was the only customer in the shop at the time so it’s not as if they were busy.
Update:. I was contacted by America's Best and they offered a resolution that I was satisfied with. I bought 2 pairs of glasses for my son for $70. Silly me should have known they would be poor quality. 3 pairs broke in less than 6 months. I didn't buy the "insurance" for the additional $30 because I figured my son hasn't broken any of his previous glasses (we bought elsewhere), the second pair can be my "insurance". Some of the negative reviews had me nervous to come in, but I figured it’s mostly the unhappy people that leave a review. My experience was very pleasant, which is even more impressive for having a 5:40 appointment at the end of a long day. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The doctor I saw was very considerate when we were deciding how strong of a prescription to go for, and the ladies in the front were kind enough to help me pick frames and give opinions. Don't ever go here! Lots of people sitting around. Asked for the prescription at the time of the exam and they forgot to give it to us. We live a little ways away and called back and asked them to mail it to us. After a week and a half of not receiving it, made a special trip in to get it only to find out they couldn't give it to me because it was for my daughter who just turned 21. She is in college and not available to come home for a little while. Extremely frustrating and not helpful at all!
Had another great eye exam today with Dr. Donahue. Were treated well by the entire staff. See you again in a year!
What a joke and a ripoff. I wish I would have read all the bad reviews before I went. They rip you off and don’t even give you your script. I have reported them to the state of Iowa and my insurance. Never again!
