American Sales is quick to sell you a pool and have one of their contracted pool installers install. Then they wash their hands of any issues you have with the pool and installer. My pool was purchased in 2002. American Sales sent out the installers when the ground was still frozen. Didnt realize at the time that this was not a good thing. Went to American sales about 2 years after purchase to question why the bottom track was totally corroding . I was told it didnt do anything and would be fine. Anyway I am getting side tracked. we went into the Merrilville location and found a nice laser display for Christmas. unfortunately it was out of stock but, the manager looked it up and it was to be in tinley park location the next day. We could pay or simply put a deposit down and, they would call when it was delivered to the store. A short 30 minute distance. the American sales in Tinley Park spa repair center has poor customer service as i have been waiting 5 months for my repairs to be complete . i have called several times to find out the status and have not had any call backs. i was given the techs phone number of which was a invalid number . i will be contacting corporate to hopefully resolve this issue. the repairs are for the lights in the hot tub burnt out ,
My husband ordered a hot tub cover at the beginning of the summer. The lady her name is Sandy *******, said it would take 6 weeks to be delivered, but we waited more like 10 weeks. Worse place to deal with. Took my deposit & never got my item. Ordered on 7/28/16. Told me it would take about six weeks. Called on 9/12 and spoke to Scott who gave me a date of 9/11 and then kept transferring me to someone who kept transferring me to someone else. Called Melissa who is suppose to be the store manager on 9/22 who said she'd check with Allison . On 9/23 Melissa left me a message saying it would be in on 10/3. Never got a call saying it came in. The customer's item was delayed in shipping by the manufacturer. This was explained to the customer and compensation was offered. The customer was told that she would be called when the item came in for pick up, we did not call her as the item unfortunately still had not arrived. When the customer came into the store she was given a full refund on an item that had a special order non-refundable deposit. We apologized for the delay, however, this was a manufacturing and shipping delay beyond our control.
This business sells inferior above ground pools, provides bad installation employees and has the worst customer service ever! Threw my $4000 pool to the curb after 3 yrs of non resolution.We purchased a new pool from an independent pool store with excellent customer service and products in St. John IN

This customer purchased a pool from American Sale in 2012. In 2016 she had freeze damage to her skimmer due to improper pool closing that was not done by American Sale. American Sale was not hired to perform any service on the pool nor did we negotiate a contract with the customer or private contractor.
