If I could give this company zero stars I would. They are a bunch of crooks and liars! The EMTs are great and I feel bad for them working for these thieves. After my newborn was transported a year ago from one NICU to another (an 11 mile ride) I got a bill for $3500. After a long battle, I got my insurance to cover the entire bill. It was paid in full July 2019. I get a letter on Friday, stating they still only had a partial payment and I was still responsible for $2300. I contact my insurance and documentation the bill was ... read more

AMR is terrible, terrible, terrible. They transported my 13 year old son from Evergreen Hospital in Seattle to Seattle Children's Hospital for an emergency surgery after an accident. First, the ride took a very long time to go less than 14 miles because there was a Husky's football game. My son was in pain in the back of the ambulance; they provided absolutely nothing except a very very slow, long ride- and took vitals. The orthopedic surgeon called my cell phone during the ride wondering when we would be there because it wa... read more

We encountered what seemed like exorbitant billing--over $4500--for a trip of eighteen miles. Billing from AMR was aggressive: we had insurance issues to solve, and I had called immediately--the morning after the trip--to make sure that we had things in line. The AMR rep I happened to speak with was helpful, but she had little control over how the insurance claims were handled overall. We got threats of being turned over to collection agencies, immediately. Our credit rating is top notch, and we certainly do not have a histo... read more

AMR is overbilling me for a 5/1/19 ambulance ride, asserting an ALS rate for BLS service, which is billed at a higher rate. Every time I call the foreign call center (that is the only number I have) no supporting information is provided to substantiate the bill. I have also repeatedly asked for an itemized bill, to no avail. This practice by AMR was and is the subject of many lawsuits and AMR admitted in an WA lawsuit to overbilling. In my situation, 911 was called by a bystander and unbeknownst to me, AMR arrived. I was coh... read more

Just got off the phone with a customer service "supervisor" about the problems I had with the person that originally answered the phone to help me. In our conversation I asked where she was physically located. She was confused by my question. I then asked her what country she was located in, to which she answered “the Philippines”. This answered nearly all my questions regarding the wording of question and there answers. Why does AMR outsource their customer service to a another country when they charged me $2441.xx dollars ... read more

The transport appears to be fine. The problem with this company is their billing. It is, basically, either illegal or incompetent. Recommend you complain to your city, insurer, or whomever. I'll be filing a complaint with our State consumer affairs office.
This is a rip off company. I had a migraine i couldn't open my eyes. My friend call 911 for an ambulance. I was at Perimeter mall they took me to st Joseph hospital 2 miles / 5 mn ride. I got a bill for 2,000.00 dollars. I called them to find out wy my bill is too high. They never gave me an answer. I paid a half of my bill $963.50 in 6 months. Then i got a letter from a collection agency. This is what you deserve.

I have been trying to settle my bill with AMR for a year now and I am very frustrated. My insurance company paid the covered portion and sent me an explanation of benefits (EOC). The EOC from my insurance company does not match what AMR claims I still owe. My insurance has called to do a “balanced billing” with AMR three times and my bill has not changed. When I call AMR I can only speak to customer service in the Phillipines (AMERICAN Medical Response?). It seems I get canned answers that are completely illogical, such as “... read more

The EMT arriving at our location in Modesto are always unprofessional and unconcerned. Anytime they have come the sick person is left to walk out of the house to get on a gurney outside even if the person is almost unconscious, experiencing leg pains, or delivered a BABY! Their excuse is that it’s protocol to do this. No coverups are provided for female as males stare on and demonstrate classes without permission. I have seen EMTs and fire officers perform their duties honorably and request at time for the EMT to treat us wi... read more
