Absolute worst customer service in the history of customer service. I get that some days are good and some are bad, but I have simply never had a positive phone interaction with any representative from this interminably frustrating institution. I don't care what's going on in the back end, your employees simply have no right or reason to mistreat me. I will never give this psychotic place any business of mine ever again. We have been very patient with your institution but we are currently at day 75 on the refinance and your Mortgage Processor, is telling us that we need to sign more documents. That they miscommunicated, that the title company is essentially fed up with them requesting a 3rd payoff amount, and now we have to call them? We have responded to any email they have sent within an hour. Produced all documents within an hour of any request. I was 6 days late to make my loan payment and they called my co signer instead of me, even though my name is first on the loan. The co signer is my grandma and she happened to tell her I am moving out of state and the customer service rep told my grandma that she “should take me off of the loan if I am moving because you can’t trust young people to make payments” I have had this loan for 2 years and this was the first time I was late due to some set backs and I wasn’t even a week late to pay it.

I have a checking account with America First and in May I noticed charges coming out of my account that were not made by me. There was roughly about $500.00 worth of charges. I went into the branch and they did a dispute and issued me a new card. I got my new card and within a few days I had more charges. I immediately flagged those charges and went to the bank. I have never in my life dealt with a more awful bank who treats you like a number instead of a person. I applied for a consolidation loan today because I’m currently paying $1000 a month for a loan with an incredibly high interest rate. Looking for relief, I turned to the bank that I’ve been a member of since 2006. I have been a member of AFCU for 53 years! I joined when I was 8 years old. In the beginning there was not a better financial institution available. Now, a completely different view. Keep in mind AFCU has never experience a loose of a late payment from me in all of these years - so when I transferred my 1st mortgage to AFCU, you would have thought I was the worst credit risk a live, then came a recent auto loan request (keep in mind I have had multiple over 53 years). A few years ago I actually gave America first a good review because I opened an account with mom when I was 13. I even worked for them a few years ago in Roy at their call center. While I left for a more reputable company within a few months because of systematic micromanagement, I still liked them as a credit union regardless of how shitty they were to work for. I had been going through a very hard time and it looks like America first litigation department has a personal agenda to put me into mental institution with their inability to compromise, horrible customer service and unwillingness to work with you. I wish I would have an opportunity to take my mortgage somewhere else. PS I am also going to file a formal complaint against America First litigation department

Management needs a training on customer service. They contradicted everything that the loan officers worked on over the phone. The conversation and the help they supplied was unfortunelty very disappointing. I am will never cost this branch agai.
