Way below average – I can?t begin to tell you how disappointed I was after my mediocre haircut and sub par highlights. I went to Alice because I heard good reviews, but my haircut was ok at best, and my highlights were really bad. Under a certain light they actually looked green! The place itself was small and cramped and the stylists were nice, but I didn?t feel pampered. Either way, the salon is overpriced and overrated.
Best Hair Apparent! – I'm addicted. Alice and her staff at Alice Haircare are very attentive to your needs. From designing your hair style to fit your personality, or offering beverages, they are on the ball. I've been going to Alice for quite a while and am very particular, creative, and sometimes difficult and Alice is always up to the challenge, creating works of art. A++++ Great Service, Great Results, Best Hair Salon!!!!!!! – If you haven't tried Alice Hair yet, you don't know what you're missing!! It's a magical experience from the minute you step in the door! Sheer Excellence! Amazing service and knowledgeable stylists!! – I live and work in New Jersey, and I commute to the city JUST to go to Alice! It is well worth the trip. I first came to Alice because I was unhappy with my previous stylist. For some reason, he could not listen to me, and he ended up giving me a terrible cut and pretty shabby hilites. Don't go anywhere else!!! This place is excellent!! – I'm a guy, and in the past, it's been very hard to find a salon that is good at men's haircuts. You usually get the average "men's cut", anything that's short and even. My wife has been going to Alice for about a year now, and she finally convinced me to go. I can't believe it took me so long! Hurried service, nothing innovative – I was completely disappointed with my visit to Alice. Perhaps my biggest complaint is that I didn't feel I was getting a lot for my money. The cut (w/out blowdry) was $70 and I was in the salon for a total of 20 minutes. The stylist was nice, but couldn't think of anything to do with my hair and actually said, "What you have now looks nice." I had a $125-haircut that was six months old. Lovely little salon! – I was very happy with my experience at Alice's today. It's a very nice space: clean, sunny, lots of chatting and laughter. Excellent customer service, they use products that smell AMAZING, and everyone I saw leaving the salon had a great haircut. Alice cut my hair and did a phenomenal job. Best cut I've had in years. Alice in Upper East Side Wonderland – I've never done a rating of this nature, and I know you're thinking i'm lying about that but it's true....However, in this case I will make an exception. Do yourself a favor and let the gorgeous women of Alice Hair pamper you and do things to your hair you never thought possible. Exactly What I Wanted – I have lived in New York for 4 years, and never found a place to get my hair colored. I tried all of them, the small places, the large places, the well known places....and none of them ever seemed to understand what I wanted. But luckily I came onto Citysearch and found Alice salon.
